Hi guys, hope you can help me

I have just been reading through the cities/housing forum and the politician forum.

I was looking for a program that would help me make a map of a new city

The reason for this is that our current city (which is almost 1 year old, and i am last remaining ,active, founder member) is full of derelict and unused structures, making it very difficult to find space for new citizens to place houses.

Also the city is looking very disorganised.

I have noriced a few posts suggesting that it was said in FanFest that a purge of unused/cancelled accounts is imminent.

Do we have any firm information on this?

Do we now what criteria will be used to decide if a structure will be removed from the game (i.e is it a period of inactivity, or does account have to be specifically cancelled?)

For example, we have a structure in the city which was placed by player now inactive for over 3 months, but who left hundreds of thousands in the structure maintenance and also has millions in his bank, would this structure be destroyed?

What we know is that the structures of canceled accounts will be moved to the character's bank.

And if you are looking for a city planning tool, there is one linked in the stickies.

I beilieve this was just an idea of a player, as I have not heard that the devs are doing this.

Would be extremely useful and helpful though.

The devs stated at Fan Fest that they were going to roll-up the houses of cancelled accounts and place them in the player's bank.

We know this? Where did they say that?

Did they give any kind of time frame for this purge?

Does the purge include deleted characters? There are a number of deleted characters who still have residence in my city atm. They dont have houses but they are listed as residents. There is also a house from a character that had been deleted by the CSRs that is still up and has been there for almost 6 months.

No.

And no telling what, exactly, will be purged.

There will be fewer houses in cities. Many people see this as a top priority.

There will be many cities that will find their populations suddenly reduced. Shuttles will be endangered. =Cities= will be endangered. There =might= be a grace period for cities to regain their population to save themselves.

There might not.

Everyone who has been asking for a purge because it is so important... be -sure- to post here and say "Thank you! That was exactly what I wanted and needed!".

City levels are supposed to be frozen for at least 2 weeks after the rollup.
