Maybe it was just lag...

Helping a new person move into the city today. As usual, I placed the house for him, then did a /transferstructure. He then went to add his alt char to admin. He got the text box to add the name, but did not get the cofirmation message. When he tried to access the terminal again, the radial only showed examine, as if he didn't own the house. So I tried it too. Same thing. Examine only.

I suggested maybe it was like the city hall terminal bug. So we waited a minute or so. Tried again. Still no option for admin.

He transferred the house back to me. I was then able to get the admin option on the radial. I added him to admin. No confirmation message. I re-opened the admin window (it happened to work first try this time) but then saw the admin list showed *no one* on admin. Not even me, the owner. It was a blank box. I tried several times. It stayed blank. Since I had added him, even though it didn't show I had, he also tried to add his alt. He could not access the menu.

I redeeded the house. I traded it back to him. I granted him zoning rights. He placed it. He was able to access the radial and add his alt to admin.

Maybe it was just lag...

I'm going to test it some more tonight. The City Council and I are going on a little building spree....

I had the same problem. I just add the persons name to admin before I /transferstructure. No one has complained about it since, so maybe that worked.

that's correct. add the new owners name to admin before /transferstructure. it's the only workaround to the bug that i've found. And i didn't find it until yesterday.

I have this problem as well, and posted it in the stickied Bug Thread at top.

You can add people to the admin list before you transfer it and it will work fine, however the new owner will be unable to add anyone else to the admin list (even though it says the person was added).

I had this with at least 3 houses I had transfered. Once I started adding the person to the admin list first, it's been clear sailing.

At one point I think you couldn't transfer the house unless the person wason the admin list. Not sure about that exactly other than knowing at one point I used to do that as a habit, fell out of it with no problems, and back into it now.

I didn't add it to the Bug List because it was more of a housing issue, but since many of us do that for our cities I'll add it in over the next few days. I've been busy sewing to have the costumes finished by Thursday.

This bug almost killed my first city.... I had to have everyone redeed their houses and then it worked.

Been mayor since day 2 with player cities.

We onlyuse naboo style housing in my city, and i've never had this problem.

We only use naboo style housing in my city, and i've never had this problem.

it might, or it might be a bug that's been around but happens more often now. I would just like to get as much current info on it as possible

This happens all the time with me, Pappi. I'm always placing and /transfer'nhouses to my new citizens. We startedto see it crop up a fewweeks before the CU.

If only the owner is on admin when you transfer it over, the new owner's name is not on the list (it's blank), howeverthe new ownercan still drop stuff. They can't add anyone else to the admin listthough.

We've had a problem with our private cantina since the mayor set it (she's the owner of the cantina). The limit of 36 names on any list is bad enough, but it keeps reloading OLD names that we've deleted from the entry list. Some as old as 9 months.

In addition, there are entries of "guild:" that refuse to be removed. Redeeding is a possibility, but there are many painstakingly placed art works in there.

Pappi, please give a shout out to have whoever look at these problems.
