If I can get enough people it will eventually be similiar to this. Things will change to incorporate different homes (meds may become smalls) and maybe I"ll use a few archway gardens as entrance points.

Half of the city is up on top of a plateau so I didn't drop any structures up there since it is hard to tell where exactly they would be able to fit. This is an ideal for the shuttle and cantina but they may have to move down (not too likely) and the area in front of city hall will have a bunch of gardens to beautify it. You can see the front of my city hall from a bit of a distance in my sig site as well as it's insides. We're still a rank 1 town because of the plateau so that can give you an idea about it's effect on us, but I wouldn't trade it for a flat land. The view is just great.
The pink/purple areas are water (river to the south/SE, ocean to the NE.) The NW quadrant and extreme North "wall" is not fully developed yet, but we adhere pretty rigidly to this design when placing new homes. All civic structures are placed; A few parks in the outskirts are not placed at this time, due to decoration number limitations.
The concentric colored circles are there to mark each city level radius expansion.

Danger, 400kb file ahead. :-) Still need to get some names on it, but it's mostly up to date beyond that. Few people moving around...:-P

We decided to build in the lowland basin a long time ago because there was a conciderable amount fighters going from anchorhead to Jabba that we could sell our goods to, so we don't have any problems with steep hills or water ... but we do have the restriction of a no build zone in the north east.
Originaly we planed our city on Corellia, but since that planet was in no way comparable to the livelyhood on Tatooine at the start of the game on gorath (and because "dry brown" instead of golden green Corellia was alot less pretty than expected, and the buildings where all simply just the ugliest in SWG) we moved.
This Map was done in Photo Shop Pro with several layers and little pics of the small medium and large houses that can easily be rotated and fixed to a grid.
