Uh oh, had an election today, gotta check tomorrow then. Luckily, we have 10 weeks ready maintenance so it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, I am just a few elections away from Master, I would rather just wait then lose the 320k... But last time this happened the CSRs did reimburse the City. So I filled out a ticket and hope they do it again (it still is a pain though)

I got hit today as well. I managed to avoid it the first time around, but that extra 300K hurts.

Same here ![]()
250k unneeded treasury hit. We're not a big city and this amount means something big to us.

I submitted a ticket right after it happened, My ticket included our citys planet and co-ords and said "so much for fixing the multi-election bug. We have had two elections so far this week (costing us an extra 400,000 credits)" and I did this in the playcity/voting catorgories.
I got my response today, "You didnt give us enough information to solve your situation please give more information" well I really dont know how much more info I can give. (I did add when the second election happened)
I would like to start a petition to pay the CSR people more, so that they can hire people that can read. I really am sick of getting answers to tickets that make no sense, or just show general laziness. I am afraid to write long tickets because from responses I have got in the past its obvious that they dont read the whole ticket. Yet when I try to be short and too the point I get a form response from a person that decided to try and clear my ticket asap.
The first round of multi-elections the CSR's werent going to reinburse my city for it saying that therewas no tracking system. So i opened a ticket, Isaid in my ticket, that this ticket was going to stay open and have a comment added daily until the bug was fixedfor my city and our treasury has been reinbursed and that if they closed the ticket (as they have done to me before) I was going to send out a city wide email asking my citizens to open tickets reguarding the situation (I have a feeling that 100 or so extra tickets wouldnt look to good for them). It took one day for a response and a large reinbursment (in fact about 10 times what we had lost, the idea being it was to cover more multi-elections) to be placed in the treasury. The moral of the story is, these people have jobs and I assume performance (as in number of tickets responded to satisfactory, % of tickets closed etc) is a real issue for them potentally costing them in raises, promotions and maybe even thier job, we as mayors have the ability to rally many people (in a lot of cases) to our cause.
Do I feel bad about potentally effecting someones job, No I dont, as a customer I have the right to complain and will. on the flip side if someone goes above and beyond for me I will (and have in the past for other games) call thier customer service line and ask to talk to the supervisor to tell them this.
The customer service in the game is just plain bad, They enforce the terms of service seemingly randomly, they dont fully read the complaint tickets that are our only option for asstance with the many "unexpected features" of this game.
Heh sorry this turned into a rant, I guess I am angry (I didnt realise it)
Fix this election bug

Well my city just got a full refund and the CSR was very helpful and polite (CSR-ChristopherJ). I hope you try adding additional information to your ticket, like make sure you make it clear that you had an extra election that shouldn't have happened and therefore paid double maintenance.
Sometimes they do respond to tickets with a response like that and it is just because they don't understand the problem and you weren't online when they got to the ticket. I hope that works for you - they are definitely reimbursing cities for this - so you should get a reimbursement.
Good luck and I hope they fix it for you soon!

Yes, we just had this problem too, two weeks in a row! I didn't mind the first time because we were actually behind from a week we got skipped. But now we're one ahead, and I even ended up not getting full XP for it because I hadn't gotten around to training and I hit a cap.
Speaking of which, I thought our XP cap was supposed to be higher than the other professions! Yet I capped out at 30k when I was trained up to 4-2-2-3 and had about 28k XP already. 3 times the max box (which costs 10k) doesn't seem very high.
Anyway, if the CSRs will refund the money I won't complain about not getting the XP, except if the cycle holds, then we'll once again be messed up and off our normal schedule.

Strange ... as a master politician my XP cap is at 60k ... would have thought it would be the same as soon as you reach one of the tier 4 skill boxes.

Strange part 2 ... I though I'd sent a ticket in yesterday since the multiple bug happend to our city again also (last week, and this week again) ... wanted to see if I had an answer but found no ticket ... most of the times I hit "submit" to early due to the focus goiingout of the writing field of the window and hitting enter (same with emails ... arg) but I don't not send it ...
Anyways ... what's strange about this update is that it was more than 24h appart from the first planed update ... usually it is less than 24h.

Same here, got polite and quick response to my ticket. Extra maintenance was refunded.
