Thread: Please change the medium Naboo back !!!!!
A large Naboo house has a footprint of 6x7 where the new medium Naboo footprint is 6x5. The Naboo medium house is approximately the same size as a Player City Theater (which has the same 6x5 footprint) and is basically the same size as a Tatooine medium (which has a 5x5 footprint).
My personal opinion is that if we get any kind change to the footprint it would be to 5x5 to match with the medium Tatooine. Considering the building itself is the same size, I doubt it would go smaller than that.
I've passed this issue on several times as well as pointed to some of the more prolific threads about the matter. I haven't heard anything difinitive on the matter, though.
this ruined my city design since i removed some houses that had mediums and now a med want fit there anymore = (
wish they would come up with a system with a terminal in city that u can magic move house to make patterns
Medium Naboo House Footprint
Yes and has been applied to existing housing
The new footprint of the Naboo mediums is actually larger than a large house. This is causing chaos with any city design when it could have been as easy as a trim of the outer edges to make them passable. I understand the reason for the change, but I think they got a number wrong in the calculation. This change has removed my city's ability to use medium naboo houses and now all I will be able to sell are large and small. This change needs to be rolled back until a better solution can be created.
We are so farbled on this issue.
They fixed a bug which didnt really need fixing and got a lot of mad Mayors in return.
I dont think they will ever listen to our complaints on this issue and will move on to other more profitable (and I mean that literally) fixes.
ie...I dont think they give two shakes of yoda's butt about this problem.
Our city is a township and unable to grow because of the city cap (another issue entirely). With the change in the medium naboos, our ability to add citizens is at a standstill.
There are condemned buildings that, when removed, will leave huge holes that can't be filled. There are spots where citizens have packed up and left when they found we couldn't grow to the next level. None of these holes can be filled.
It is disheartening and frustrating. I love our city and want it to flourish. The devs have no idea of the devastation they causedon so many cities with their decision.
Stasia
I decided on a challenging location to begin with... just south of Theed near a Gungan monument...with about 200 meters from the river front to the hill ridge.. I expected and planned a whole month before city hall placement... and expected all residents ... up to 100, to fit within this narow 200 meters from the river to the forested hill top (we wanted to leave the hill top undeveloped as to encourage a woodsy feel up there).
I counted on being able to place all medium houses , free, to everyone because they offered the best way for me to construct a village simular to Keren... with tight roads and unexpected courtyards, roads defined by the placement of medium houses. The brownstone look they give is awsome.
Now... I can not place anymore structures.. I have 65 residents and the planet cap has been reached for about a good 3 months now and can not advance to city-hood, and with the normal ebb and flow of residents as they come and go from the city... I have about 7 huge gaping holes that look way out of place and make the city look horrendous... and what was a city reminisant of Deeja Peak now looks... haphazard.
I feel let down by the DEVS on this... fixing a non-issue. Was anyone complaining about those walls? I know there was the ability to slid between the houses anyway.... now... they have simply made things so much more difficult for those of us who were their cheer leaders and really community leaders.. encouraging people to stay dispite the CU upgrade.
I dont think this fix will be undone because they dont see politicans and city planning as a central or major part of the community expierence... of they did then so many of the simple suggestions that would foster communities would have been acted on. Also... the lack of communication with the politican community, or asking our impute, was atrocious. While I surely do love the Galaxies expierence... I am most horribly let down and really sickened with this.... and so wish they would have consulted us... or simply expand the area around a base, rather then force mayors to have gaping unfixable gashes in their city placement.
My three cents anywhos
