What kind of issues specifically?

There have been issues in the past with some items not being deducted from the city maintenance report (and therefore charging the city for decorations they didn't have placed), but it's not something consistent and hasn't--to my knowledge--been pinned down.

I just removed a few trainers with no problem, but one won't go. Every time I try to remove him I get the "You cannot see that object, you may need to get closer to it" error message. Even when I'm standing in the middle of him! All I can figure is maybe he's slightly lodged into the cantina he's by and I can't see it. It's one of the blue Ephant Mon type musician trainers, on Tatooine, if that helps.

New LOS (Line of sight) rules where in the CURB. This affects us as well as it makes it harder to get the server to realize that we have LOS on a target such as a lamp or trainer. The LOS is a real mess as it even prevented anyone from targeting dancers in the Cnet cantina on my server last night. Its great for combat tho.

You may need to submit a CSR ticket if you can't "see" it. It'll happen on occassion. Just be nice about it and give them as much detail as possible, including the waypoint for the trainer, and they'll take care of it for you.

there's a post-CU bug where you can't "see" certain things after getting off a speeder, even when you're within range. if that applies, try getting on/off the speeder again.

other than that, remember to not only "pickup" things such as streetlamps, but also "remove" them from the city. make sure you're removing the correct structure when removing gardens, and you should be good to go. don't drop a terminal on top of the steps in the city hall, or it might fall thru. anything that bugs up will have to be handled by a CSR.

Thank you for responding... however, i still have this problem... it is currently telling me there are 15 trainers in the city so when i go to remove one that doesnt get used i cannot remove it tells me that i am not close enough to this object... try to do /removetrainer and doesnt work... so i have to pull up another trainer that the city uses most the time and set down the one i need.....

Most of the residents that live there have to send me a tell when they need a trainer, which means i have to stop what i am doing or put someone that i am doing buisness with on hold to go to them to place a trainer, I dont mind going to do this but it does cause complicatoins with certain points... putting what needs to be done on hold, telling someone sure i can do that can we do that in twenty minutes so that i can finish what i have going on, or i have to come all the way back to the city when i am in the middle of grinding so that i dont make that person wait for me.....

When i arrived at this trainer issued i submitted a bug report right away after going thru the steps that you see above, i also figured the LOS thing and had walked to the building that the trainer had been placed by and tried to remove it along the front steps then walked around in it a circle all the while trying to remove it and got told "you cannot see this object, you must move closer"..... I figured ok something is up with the city treasury or we are at max limit on trainers ( even though i was trying to remove it ) so off to city hall :/ nothing seemed wrong at all..... Mind you I had not been on a speeder bike at all cause when i am in my city i enjoy walking around its a waist of time to open data pad (lag) pull out my speeder ( more lag when closeing d-pad) and then drive 20 - 30m where i need to go anywhere in the city...

It has now been a few days since i posted this...as i figured i would give it some time that it could possibly work its self out ( ha ha ha im in denial i know ) I will submit my CSR ticket and wait for them to come help me out, when i know that the CSR's are currently busy with more important things and really dont care to bother them with such a small thing like trainer problems... but i have put alot of work into the city i live in and so have the people that live there, have put in lots of money cause of something they believe in, a place where anyone can come to and relax enjoy the sun rise and sun set and watch the lil blue froggies ( pun intended ) and a place where the money they have put in to the city that it goes to the right place... ie.. paying for trainers that are broken and cannot be removed at all :/

sorry to have to go on so long about this but sometimes its better to talk and share with everyone

I have a related question so I'll put it here, rather than starting a new thread

Many moons ago, there was a bug where if you removed a streetlight or trainer that was too close to a civic structure, you could lose the structure. Has this been fixed? I have a number of streetlights that I need to remove, but would hate to lose my shuttleport or even worse, my city hall.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

well, since hte trainer problem is a bug, there isn't much I can do besides tell you to submit a CSR ticket. I can report the problem to the devs, but that most likely won't get fixed until next year

as for the bug where you can accidentally destroy neighboring structures, you just have to be careful and look at the destroy screen before you press ok. it should show you the name of the structure.

Gotcha. It was user error, not a bug. I'll be very careful. Thank you!

well, it's a bug that you can bring up destroy screens for neighboring structures, but you can prevent destroying the wrong thing by being careful and checking to see if you have the correct destroy screen

Has anyone else removed a fountain and it's sound linger on afterwards? I have a house that sounds like a fountain in my city!
