sorry about the delay, rl was getting to me

from our top 5 poll, here are the top 5 issues:

  • politician skill point cost
  • master politician benefits
  • city management tools: city ledger, ability to see structure owner, etc.
  • more revenue sources: trainer/mission terminal profit
  • better city defenses

issues such as fixing sales tax, "mayor of" title, shipwright trainers, increase decoration limit, etc., are included in a different document.

do these look ok?

One small edit from me. But I believe these do sum up our main issues. Thanks Pappi!

Those are certainly the five things I'd list as most important for my city. I could be a very happy camper if we could somehow get all of those things!

As far as the Politician Skill Point cost, a reduction or restructure would be the best thing as a class. While I'd love to see them pack so much into the Politician class to make the current skill point cost worth every bit invested, I think it's much more realistic to go for a condensed version with some added perks.

I dunno, what does that etcettera represent? You're not trying to bring about big brother cities of fear and contempt that cause massive rifts in the very fabric of this game never to be mended. Calling forth hellfire and brimstone to the very core of the server's existence and meaning in a self aggrandizing battle against the development team are you?

If no then the list looks great, if yes...go get 'em papps.

Well it has ben Chrimbo so I'll let you off 0.o

from our top 5 poll, here are the top 5 issues:

  • politician skill point cost

This a big problem currently I have lack skill- points after toehr responsibilties to do anything productive.

  • master politician benefits

Increase Decorations Limit or some specific new cool Structures we can ad to our cities , to show our comitment to getting master politician.

  • city management tools: city ledger, ability to see structure owner, etc.

Also to add city Message of the Day or Welcome Message, also be able to locate the citizen structures by clicking on their names under the citizen report section. Allow for a notice board kind of terminalo where Citizens or prospective citizens can read about the city and the services it offers before they decide if they want to move in or not.

  • more revenue sources: trainer/mission terminal profit

Extremely nesscary alot of Politican are usinjg there own money to fun dhte city maintainene every week and Citizens are not really inform about he costs of running a city(this needs to be addressed)

  • better city defenses

Indeed we do , but i can't epect this coming in before the GCW Upgrade , factional npcs are too weak at the moment and wouldnt offer much protection against intruders.

issues such as fixing sales tax, "mayor of" title, shipwright trainers, increase decoration limit, etc., are included in a different document.

do these look ok?

Fine and , Thanks for the update.

Excuse my ignorance but I have been around these forums for quite a few months now and always wondered whether these top 5 wishes, which I am happy to sign and willing to see in game, are really being taken into consideration by the developers. Are they?

What kind of influence do you have on them? Do you just "pass the information" and they say "ok, we'll take care of it some day..."? Are they located at some position in some big TO-DO list or not even that?

P.S. Not trying to be rude, just asking. :-)

this is a good question, as some other folks have unrealistic expectation of correspondents...

we're pretty much just volunteers collecting data and mediating between players and devs. we present them with info, it's up to the devs what to do with them. usually we have little say (besides forum opinions) on what happens. once the top 5 are posted on the corr forum, they're out of my hands.

Looks good to me. I am a newer mayor and new to these forums and already I can see exactly what all the concerns i have heard whispered really are. I cant pull our clone center because there is items stuck in the wall. basic things that this top five would go along way to help us do our jobs better. So /cheer and hope the devs respect the time everyone took to get the list together and take it seriously enough to do something.

Love the idea about the notice board, would save creating a information vendor etc..
Regarding the citizens report, not sure if I understood, but i recon this would have to be callable at any time, anywhere in town.. so you could stand outside a house, bring up the report and check to see who the owner is.. class idea.

Yup, income from mission terminals would be advantageous and encouraged for active perusal

These 5 issues lookok to me, but I am suprised the decoration limit did not make the top 5. Having a well decorated city, or visible city at night, is pretty important.

Where can I find the document that talks about the other issues that did not make the top 5?

Currently my biggest issue is the limit of decorations I can place. Do the developers know how dark the SWG Cities are at night? Sure would be nice if each building had an entryway light . I keep running into the darn walls trying to find the door or ramp up to the door during night time hours *chuckles*. Buildings with no lights, Speeders with no head lights, not enough street lights can be place, I tell ya our mortality rate from speeder recks and the pedestrian fatality rate jumps WAY up at night !

Ya need to be a Darn Jedi just so you can use your light saber to see where the heck you are going at night in these cities!

Thanks.
