Thread: Player Cities Update
I want to thank Plinka and the Politician Correspondent Forum for doing such a great job inhelping us identify the cryptic blackhole thats been threatening your cities. The center of player cities is migrating slowly, but only about 2 meters every48 hours. Some cities may experience some very minor voting dips this next cycle, but they will be minimal.
The solution for this is on Test Center now and will be fixed in the new publish early next week.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but thisshouldn't have any severe effects.
What about those of us who are on the verge of losing out cities due to this bug?

Does said publish for next week include vehicles?
Yes- a publish is the MAJOR code update they do once every month - month and a half...
Patches are the same as the hotfixes they do every day or two.
Good to hear the publish is on the way soon!

That's great and all, but what about the uniinvited residents that will be living in our cities when the drift is fixed. Our city has houses that will be within our city perimeter right now due to the bug. These people were not given zoning rights to build, they didnt need them because the build radius shifted. When you guys fix this they become residents...worse yet the original planning of the city will have to be thrown out the window and started from scratch due to houses being placed in intentionally left open land that was INSIDE our city perimeter. Will the CSR's be removing these unwanted and unasked for trespassers?
Is this "black hole" what caused an entire city to vaporize on Starsider? See here:

Also, what are you planning to do for people who lost their cities to this bug? That's not even my city, but man, talk about a game-breaking bug! I can't believe they haven't been foaming at the mouth on the forums.
I agree. Shouldn't this be a priority? Its causing a ton of problems, and will conitnue to throughout the weekend? I have to agree that this should be fixed now, expecially since the fix has been implemented on the Test server.
And I would also like to know if this will include the vehicles. The rumor is that they will take a lot of resources, and I would like some forwarning before I get all my orderers banging at my door.
Thank you for your time.

TH, why don't the Devs get into the habit of posting how they will fix problems caused by a bug at the same time they announce they are fixing the bug...
I.E., in this post you could have said "we think we have fixed, but we are going to repair any damage that was done because of this bug. For example, the cities that lost public structures because their citizen count dropped, we're going to replace the structures."
Now that wasn't that hard was it?
