Lets say my city os by the Tusken Bunker NOT the Tusken Fort, and i put up a starport or shuttleport. Would that bring in serious income?

No. The cloning center costs the city money in the form of weekly maintenance.

Yes, in the form of a tax levied on OUTGOING flights.

We DON'T get that money? Talk about a money sink.. this is honestlythe dumbest thing i've heard of yet!

I'm not talking about a CUT... running a town takes a LOT of money - and getting to the point where you can place a lot of trainers puts you in a position of needing even more money. Who gets the money? Who needs the money? If WE dont get it - it has NO logical place to go...

Hey I can EDIT now!!!

I know this has probably been asked elsewhere in this forum, but i can't find it.

I know the cities receive income from tax and shuttle fares, but one of my citizens is insistant that they also receive a cut all missions from the mission terminals, trainer fees, and clone center insurance costs. Is this true? It doesn't sound right to me, but hey, one can hope.

nope... we wish...

mission terminal, trainers, insurance, and cloning fee does not go into the treasury (or a cut)

but all of us are asking for them.

here's what they are hoping by allowing us these immenities such as cloning centers and mission terminals...

They are hoping they attract business to our citites and our vendors.

The added traffic form our beautiful gardens, statues, mission terminals and cloning centers should make people shop our vendors and then we get the sales tax.

Thats all fine and good but what about places that just want to be a stronghold and don't have vendors.

I've said it before why should I put up a cloning center that gets used as a staging ground for some GCW conflict, have 40 rebels clone there and I don't make a dime off it?

We don't charge any sales tax in Oceanview. I can't imagine it would be good for business.

Instead we get by on income and property tax. Unfortunately that is usually the reason people move out; they can't afford the taxes. They aren't really all that high. I guess people want to live in cities for free.

Sales tax via vendor isn't a huge deal at 3% (which is ours).

A large Naboo, which sells for 120k on our server, charges 3600 in sales tax. However, if a crafter charges 125k for a house (vs 120k) no one screams, and the crafter gains theoriginal amount + sales tax is paid off.

On the smaller scale, of things >10k the sales tax is negligible (300 on a 10k item, for instance). Most crafters simply pass it back to the purchase price. Since our city doesn't charge a property tax, they don't seem to mind doing that, and neither do the buyers mind a little extra on the price to cover it.
