Thread: Plinka or Other TC mayors can you share your City Budgets with us?
Trying to plan ahead here and i see a lot of people wondering where they are going to get the 50k a week. Im thinking the same thing.
I was wondering if any mayors out there can post thier budgets so we can see the best ways to generate cash to cover expenses

No, I'm not kidding.
I was looking for sometihing a bit more detailed like I have a 4% income tax and a 1% sales tax and 5% proprity tax and gives me 53k a week.
Im thinking of leaning towards proprity taxes as my main source of income for the city.
In sim city it was easy to break even all you had to do was build the maximum security prison.

QAVille:
City Hall: 100,000
Specialization: 150,000
Structures: 751,000
Decorations: 5000
Trainer & Terminals 13,000
Total: 1,019,000 a week.
Leetville:
City Hall: 100,000
Specialization: 80,000
Structures: 86,000
Decorations: 0
Trainers & Terminals: 9000
Total: 275,000 a week.
I just don't see how people are going to deal with those numbers.
If you get 50 people (a big city) you're looking at between 5k and
20k a week in credits?
I can see the masters in my guild pumping a 100k in a few times
before we decide it's not worth it. Just because they need
money sinks in the game, doesn't need they need to put it in
to player cities all at once!
Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Leetville is next to QAville. I discovered this in my brief romp through Test Center on someone else's computer. ![]()

I know these are Dev cities but where is the income for these cities comming from. What are thier tax levels set at.
Im trying to get a feel for tax levels here... what i should brace my citizens for. I was thinking of just a strait 10% proprity tax.I know from the 3 guild halls in my city that would generate 5040 a week from them.

Our Taxation is low and the residents are chippin in to cover the cost this week. As we start to get more organized we will work out a fiscal budget more acuratly.

I think people are going to have to adjust their definition of a "big" city. 50 people is not going to be enough in most cases for a full featured city unless they are some very rich citizens - 50 people is probably a medium sized city that *maybe* can support a shuttleport. I am targeting around 200 people for my city at tier 5, and I plan on packing as many master crafters as I can around the good areas of town so they can generate a large amount of sales. The basic approach I am taking is zero citizen tax, zero shuttle tax, a moderate property tax to discourage harvesters/factories in town, and a sales tax that makes up the difference. We have a good amount of money set aside (more than 10 million)to subsidize the town until it has a shuttleport and can generate more money - the first few weeks will undoubtedly be slow.
Honestly, I have always thought that the city idea built around a PA will not be very successful. I am sure some people will be able to make it work, and it might appear that some PAs get out to a good start, but in the long run, I think the more independant and open cities will be more successful.
Shuttleport adds 125K a week to maintain it.
