Thread: No offense, but....
in fact, Rothin has brought up the issue to the devs MANY times. the devs acknowledged that it's annoying at fanfest, but corrs have no power to make them fix it RIGHT AWAY.
"hon"?
we don't know each other that well.
and Correspondants can have a thread locked easily with a quick PM to a mod.
I don't need to be schooled. I need my guild back.

There is a 5 page thread on this issue, the elections and their bugs respectively, that is not locked where this can be discussed. Creating threads saying "fix this now" "this is stupid" doesn't help the Devs fix the issue. The only thing it does it cause more people to get upset and cause them to post in anger. How does that help anyone? It really doesn't. As Pappi said, and as those who were an Fan Fest can state, this issue was brought up by myself and others during the panel BOTH days. I bring it up with the Devs EVERY chance I get because honestly I hate getting the emails or disabling the elections every day just as much as you do. They know about it and are working on it. There isn't much more they can say than that. There are a lot of issues with the election process as this one bug has brought out and they want to fix them all. It takes time. Nothing is instant. Remember, they are people. They work normal work hours (most of the time) and only have so much time to fix issues and since we're players of the game and only care about playing it, we forget that a lot.

Thanks for the note Nadias. I will admit that I do report these threads, especially the type that are like this. They are disruptive and not constructive. It's far from my ability to lock, move, or delete a thread. Sure, we can PM a mod and ask them to lock a thread or what not, but we aren't here to tell them how to do their job. We're players, not mods. They do their jobs all we can do is report a thread that 'we' feel isn't appropriate. It's their choice what to do with it.

Just to expand on what Rothin said, the devs stated that when a fix gets implemented, it can take up to 2 months to get through the QA process and get published. So there is probably already a fix, but it might be in the process of being QA'd and then it needs a round on Test Center.
So there is absolutely nothing we can do to get a fix in live faster. Posting over and over demanding fixes, will never speed up the process. I have asked for guild leadership transfer to be disabled for now, in case it is something hard to fix, but if a fix is in place, we can only wait.

okay....that is possibly the sweetest explanation I have ever seen on the processfor gettinga bug fixto live.
Consider this though...
This series of bugs erupted after the development team implemented changes that went through the SAME Q and A process.
I do not agree that fixes take two months to implement. In fact, I know that is not always the case. Many other issues have been repaired within days, and certainly within a few weeks.
You may think it does not help the process along to be vocal. I disagree. Tiggs posted tonight that after repeated outcry from the community via e-mail, bug reports, and direct contact at the just completed Fan Fest, that developers were revisiting their "final decision" on respec. Apparently....the squeaky wheel is getting some grease.
So....maybe politely waiting for freaking EVER for a fix to our problem is not the best strategy. Maybe...a little persistent nudging can move the process along.
Imagine any other game system so screwed up as ours....I mean...I am guild leader and CANNOT ACCEPT MEMBERS or ACCESS MY TERMINAL. Any profession with that level of problem would not be waiting months for a fix. Their community and community leaders would advocate vigorously until a solution was delivered.

....instead of locking and otherwise disabling the ability of PA leaders to voice their displeasure here, the correspondant might want to consider a less heavy-handed approach to managing this issue.
It is extremely frustrating to live with this is game.
We know they are working on it....but there is simply no other place to share our concerns.
Having a contrary view is not poor forum behavior. Discourse is healthy...

While I understand what you say about the development cycle, comparing this issue to the repec issue are two very differnt things. That was easy to fix; this is not. From what I picked up from the panels, they didn't quite *have* a resolution for it and it is a top priority. So is the other issue with City Hall radial menu/entertainer targeting bug.
Believe me, they want to get these fixed. They're just having issues finding out what exactly is causing the issue and trying to do more testing. A fix that breaks the system worse than it is, isn't much of a fix at all.
