Well I disabled elections a while back... and this morning the guild decided to elect 'null' as the leader.. Not a player named null.. thats no one... like an empty database field. So now we have no leader, and no way to even start a new election.

It's just another one of the voting bugs that is happening. I've already reported it to the Devs. The only thing I can suggest is sending a ticket to a CSR and see if they can force an election, but I'm not sure if they can.

See if the terminal will still allow you to register to run and be sure to do it on all guild halls if possible. (I had to run around and see which current and previous members had dropped guild halls for houses while members of my guild.) I had the same problem, "null" became guild leader. I was able to register to run after that however, so I do have some chance of at least momentarily regaining control of my guild functions for the short period of time between the ending of the current election and the next round of new election-started messages. Have done a guild name change that won't change; have had a guild leader transfer accepted, reverted to previous leader, and then diverted to null; have been unable to do any guild terminal functions like mail to guild or remove/add members; have been unable to stop the elections and constant spam maildespite being on 7 days a week. Not sure what else needs to break before it will be considered worth fixing.

Well I did bug it and send in a ticket.

Unfortuntately elections are disabled.. maybe dropping a new hall would do the trick.

Luckily there were a few of us with mail and sponsor privliges.. so that hasnt been efftected too much. Its just damn inconvienent.

A CSR can't change a guilds leadership? I don't know about that, they seem to be able to do alot of crazy stuff, I certainly hope it works out for you though.

Yeah, unfortunately CSRs don't have the ability to manually change the leadership. That I know from first hand experience.

I, unfortunately, know it from first hand experience, too. (from my last guild) They can't/wont do anything.

I am very upset at this stupid game. I have been removed as leader from the guild I started at launch. I submited tickets about the guild elections and was told by CSR that I had nothing to worry about. Now I have no guild permissions to one of the largest guilds on our server.

Ya, I worry about this daily, who is leader now? is it the 'Null"? And what tactic were u using to try and avoid any problems? Like were you canceling the elections out right, or letting them run through?

This is a new issue for us. I allowed the elections to go 5 days... My intention was to go one week like Rothin. Anyway, We all got an emails that %AT was elected to guildleader. We all were like WTH??? Anyway after a few hours we all got another email, this time stating I was elected. I've sine allowed the elections to go a week to 10 days then turning them off. We allowed the elections to go all the way and I was elected at that time.

BUT! The elections still turn on. They also turn on without giving anyone in the guild an email that "Elections are now open"

This is another bug I've come acrossed. I tried getting an old guild member back in the guild. Problem is there no longer is an option to sponsor someone into the guild. This is getting nuts, what is next?

How can I recruit people into the guild if I can't even sponsor them?

SOE fix these issues with the PA Associations. You have had your vaction. Get to work please.

Not really true.
About 3/4 of a year ago I was trying to use /guildremove to kick a problem member and accidentally kicked myself from the guild (me being leader).
The CSR came within the hour, re-invited me into the guild (no member can accept anyone to join, only sponsor) and also made me leader once more.

It was a girl CSR helping an all girl guild, so maybe we just got lucky with a sympathetic one, who knows.
I wish I could remember her name, she was by far the best customer service rep I've met in any buisness.
