Excellent Rothin. The whole list is great, and I can't wait to hear more about it once they read it.

I like the idea of Guild alliances, we already have the option of guild war. I would think an option for guild alliance could be added. The idea's posted here are good for doing this, I would question though the making of one leader of the alliances that are formed. When I read this it souned more like a merger than an alliance. Members of your guild may not wish to have a new leader, unless this was temporary. Forming alliances with the ability to cross comunicate is a good idea. I thought this could be done by an added chat tab that would appear when an alliance was formed. Guild chat is used in game, and can get very busy at times. I know switching from one tab to another can be problem as well, who has time in battle to switch back and fourth. The problem would come when you have large alliances all using one channel, messages would be missed. This new chat tab could be monitored by all in the alliance and used for quick comunications to all. This would keep the guild chat tab open to your guild to talk. The new tab would be monitored by each alliance leader or a few representitives of each guild on a daily bases. Leaders could comunicate to each other and set up a private chat channel if needed to set up a raid, or just to discuss issuse's in private.

I think the hardest part would be the codeing in the game to see an alliance had been formed, and having that chat tab added to your chat window. The use of this would be a good solution to many guilds problems of interacting with aech other.

In the station website would be nice. If it were actually in the game it would be wonderful.

Isn't it time for a Website Databased Roster of current Guilds?

Guilds in this game suffer from lack of size and exposure.

How is a player supposed to find a guild in this game big enough to get anything hi level done? Join a friend's guild? The current system just doesn't support the easy growth of large guilds.

Obviously Guilds and their members are stored in databases. Please make:

A section where you select your server.

Are shown a search page where you can select by:

a. Name

b. Member

c. Planet

Results are show and sortable by:

a. Guild Name

b. Planet

c. Guild Size

d. Age of Guild

e. Guild Leader

All of these things are kept in the game databases. A search interface is NOT hard to build and it would HELP GROUP PLAY AND GCW IMMENSELY.

Devs please consider or at least comment.

I will add your suggestion in our terminal idea for the game so people can find guilds easier. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had some ideas myself.

Some of these ideas are great, and are very similar to what I was thinking...

What I would like to see eventually is something like This from EQ2

It's got guilds and player lookups per server. Lets you see info about that player, and the guild they belong to if applicable. Also, there is supposed to be a web interface guild chat for when you are not in game, but want to talk to your guild. This would be awesome if this could be implemented. At least for me.A lot of my guild members are on while I am at work, and I don't get to talk to them much. My guild has people from all over the world....

More or less, I would love to see an actual Web Interface for guild chat and status reports.

Would also like to assign people actual postions in the guild easier, and it appears that has already been covered.

If you need any help putting Devs in a headlock to listen to us, Roth, let us know...I am SURE thereare a lot of guild leaders that would back you up. lol

They already said they were considering it, but it was still a very early idea on whether it could / would be done or not. It is something I would like to see as well though.

Was just adding my voice to it. lol I'm patient. I don't plan on leaving this game anytime soon, no matter how many complaints I hear from other players about how broken this game is. NO game is perfect. I understand that and I also understand how challenging it can be for the Devs to balance what we want with that is possible and what their bosses say they can and can't do. lol

what about having a "guild information" window, setup in a similar fashion to /guildstatus, that could overview all the features of a guild. This would be a handy tool to use when advertising, or if an individual was guildseeking or even to convey information to members!

ie.

player inputs:-

/guildinfo

window pops up with:-

guild name
guild tag
guild leader
faction affiliation
overview
goals
requirements to join

etc...

I wish that the guild tag came up automatically in my friends list so I didn't have to remember to manually add/remove/change it. I also wish guildies automatically popped onto my friends list.

I periodically guildmail out a macro:

/ad <name>; /ad <name>; /ad <name>; /ad <name>; /ad <name>; /pause 5

(Repeat for whole member list.)

This tells the new people who everyone is, and makes it easy to get them on friends lists. I include copy and paste mapping instructions too. The pause prevents the 'too many commands queued, dropping some' message.

We're hoping to get an entire guild window on the community tab so they don't even have to be in your friends list and it would take care of the tag and everything for you

I think a way to differentiate guilds from each other is the guild symbol idea brought up before. One way to make each PA's symbols unique is to have a set of 10-20 symbols. You can use a combination of any 2 symbols to come up with your guild symbol. You could also customize the color of each symbol, & the flag. While there is a chance of copying another guilds symbol, introducing the 2 symbols, different colors already decreases the odds of that happening. This along with the fact that most PA's won't go out of their way to copy another guilds symbols add a uniqueness to the game. You would then have the option to wear the symbol on clothes, put on flags, and maybe have Guild Tables/furniture that have the symbol in the middle kind of like a Knights of the round table thing. These would be made by architects & tailors, but the schematics would have to be given in some other way. Maybe smoe kind of PA ranking system
