BUG: Character places a guild hall while in a guild, then removes himself from that guild and cannot use the Guild Management termial in his guild hall. I've sent two tickets in about it, and the responses I've gotten back have confirmed that it is a bug. The problem is that the two CSR's said they could do nothing about it, and I simply have sent to much time on the place to tear everything out, and place it again.

Our guild leader was MIA for a bit, and it reverted to our NEW guildleader, %TO. The guild leader has logged back in, but has lost all of his abilities. One of those abilities was the ability to accept new members into the guild.. is there any way to give this right back to him or someone else in the guild? Its annoying enough that he cannot claim leadership again, let alone we can't accept new members. Help.

(I do not know how to do the "edit" thing where it includes the previous message in mine but the post above mine, by Fitzhume, is what this refers to.

I last logged in on 8/13/05...on 8/14/05 the guild email went out saying the new leader was %TO. 1 day....

so the 30 day rule or anything like that really does not apply cause it happened in less then 24 hours. AFTER that I was offline for about 2 weeks.

Now one thing that fitz said to me that could make sense is that on 7/14/05 I was given leadership of ODS...and on 8/14/05 that leadership was removed and given to %TO... could THAT 30 days have anything to do with it? even though I had been online almost every day during that time?

Unfortunately, while that information is very nice and I'll be sure to pass it on, the experience I had personally with this happening to a guild member in my guild didn't fit any of those patterns which only goes to show its random yet again.

When it happened to us, I hadn't changed any titles, no new players had been added or removed in a while, no permission changes, nothing. Just randomly one day a member wasn't in the guild. I will be sure to pass on the info and anything you add to it though.

I am the guild leader of my guild and I was just random removed from the guild and terminal now says that species is the leader of my guild....CSRs have yet to even try to help

Nor will they - i sent a ticket on teh same issue yesterday, and stayed online for three hours - at the end of which my ticket was closed with the standard "file a /bug report" message - they didnt evn send me a tell. Tried again - same thing. Finally came here and the correspondent was nice enough to at least tell me to accept species - what an annoying bug.

The only differance is I no longer get emails sent to the entire guild, I cannot be given my old guild permissions, and I cannot leave the guild (Ive tried /guildremove on myself a million times... which is fun cause everyone but myself gets spammed that i just left the guild) to no avail... I cant leave the guild now and i cant get the guild emails. Species is still listed under the sponsered list.

Same deal for me. Species was accepted, all ok then this morning back to no GU and no tag.

Ack! Now it's happening to a member in our PA!

Not sure about this as a bug, leadership of our guild was transferred to me as the incumbent was leaving the game. (August 2005)

I connect to the galaxy last night , September 9, 2005, and find that the previous guild leaderis now the current guild leader. I still have ownership of the guild hall, now what?

That sounds like it might be related somehow to a bug we experienced tonight, possibly:

BUG: Guild leader was not able to transfer leadership to either of two long-standing guild members standing at the terminal with him. He kept getting a message saying something like "That person is not in the guild."or "in the roster."

Reproducable Steps: Difficult to reproduce, but I can tell you that we had just kicked 75% of our members the night before, so it is possible that the guild roster was hosed in the database somehow.

At any rate, since I already had permissions to kick inactive accounts (obviously) we just had the old guild leader enable elections and we should be ok. But it was a real pain in the backside not to be able to transfer the leadership and wasted a ton of our time.
