38 man guild on bloodfin. I have never charged dues. I have a 1% property tax that mostly exists to just see if i can ever tell if it hits the treasury. We run by donations and right the city hall has 2 million and the guild hall has 100k but will get more. Never felt that charging dues wasa good idea. Always seemed it discouraged new players from joining. And their the ones you can help the most. My guilds more then half fighters. They pay for everything basically. And in return no one in my guild pays for anything. Harvesters, homes, weapons, armor ect. If i have a player who can make it. You get it for free as a guild member. So far this systems been very good to me.

I have a guild that is a little over 1 week old...Didn't know people were charging dues...Never thought about it.

I don't know if I could bring myself to do that.

I have over a year's worth of maintenance in the treasury...and about 6 million in my bank account...Maybe when I start my own player city I will charge a 1% tax to cover maintenance or something...I dunno..

In my opinion a guild should never charge dues. the leaders are responsible for making sure the guild has what it needs. A city is a whole different story seeing as how there are elected officials. The leaders of Owna and I make injections into the GH maint on a regular basis... but that doesnt mean we will deny a donation

Xandra!!! whats up chica?!

Galactic Mercenaries is a 40 - 50 member guild on Wanderhome. We have charged dues since we started it. We charge 5k per month. We have an artisan make chance cubes with each players name on them. Then place them on the vendor for 5001 credits. They purchase them monthly and offer it back to the vendor for 1 credit. This system works well. That 5k goes to pay for our PA hall as well as our guild only city.

I'd REALLY like to see an automated dues process though.

Wow.....from what I have seen so far we charge 56k a month (14k a week) and the next closest is 5k a month. Maybe we need to examine where our money is going (granted we have the guild hall paid up for 3 years). We even talked at our council meeting about lowering our dues to 10k a week......uggggg. We are so broken, but then again, our screening process can take up to 3 weeks to get someone guilded...oye!
