Thread: EQ 2 Guild Features Since we got the EQ2 Combat engine, think we could get the EQ2 Guild system???

That makes me sad. Every MMO on earth is better for guilds. And nothing changed since 2001.
You have to consider that up until EQ2, *most* guild features were a standard set through out other games. You got a tag, a chat channel, and that's about it. With MMOs the system needed to evolve more but considering they already had a working model they didn't invest a lot of time into it with any game until recently with EQ2. I would think that if successful and they see how beneficial a more advanced guild model would be to games that other games will follow suit and SWG would be one of those over time. It's important that even though we have a 'working' system now that we still comment on what we'd like to see whether its a current EQ2 feature or one that isn't that we'd still like to see.

Also you should see the Website you get for free there. I can caht with my guild from the site while their in the game. I have increased my guilds moral because of this.
This has been something I wanted for my personal wish list, but never voiced it because I thought it would seemsmall compared to our real issues, but Rothin, maybe you should bring it up with the devs. Like you said, since EQ2 can chat with SWG players, it might not be that hard for them to integrate guild chat and /t messages using a web browser. It would definately help keep the communication lines open in guild chat and make smaller guilds seem more active.

The Devs had already mentioned they were wanting to do something very similiar to what EQ2 did with eq2players.com with SWG. So if that's done then they would do all of that at the same time. Right now I'm fairly sure it's a low priority thing compared to everything else. They were checking into it though at the early stages. I'd suspect a lot of systems would need to be redone for them to function with xml for it to work out the same way for us.

since we got the EQ2 combat engine, you think we could get the EQ2 guild management system and the EQ2players.soe.com?
