I like solo play myself. However, the developers have made it quite clear that they don't want this game for solo players. Swordsman is not nearly as good of a class as it was 2 months ago. They made Sword bleeds do almost no damage. If you want to solo play, I suggest you become a human if you are not already and migrate all of you stats to the mind pool. Next, Master the Combat Medic and Rifleman professions. My alt character is a Combat Medic and he can pretty much solo anything in this game with poison. Riflemen have heavy armor piercing weapons that do way more damage than our weapons and they can shoot it at a range. They have a special move called concealed shot which gives them the ability to fire without being seen by their enemies.
I suggest that you join a guild of solo players. My guild is like that. Sometimes we go on group hunts but most of the time we are on our own.
Im not going to argue the CM/rifleman flavor of the month as being very strong. Swordsman is just too much fun to give up. I solo just about everything, With the last bleed nerf we are not as strong as we used to be. I became a master doctor to give my swordsman the extra boost he needs. Being able to buff yourself, heal states, heal your ham for upwards of 2k give you a big advantage. While they nerf'd the bleeds they added food that lets you keep your mind a lot longer. I migrated all my stats to mind, focus and willpower. I buff the rest. I often get dancer/musician buffs on top of these and I feel that I am one of the strongest/exp steeling pve char in the game. You gota love a being able to solo 4 ancient rancors at the same time ![]()
I do also wear 80% kenetic armor when doing the pve thing ![]()
If only you knew the power of the Combat Medic! Soloing 4 ancient rancors is nice, but what about soloing the entire force crystal cave before it respawns? I come from a unique perspective. My alt plays one of the most overpowered (if not the most) class in the game. I want totrysoloingthe Nightsister boss as a cm. Ibet its possible. Swordsman was always inferior in PvE to Commandos, Riflemen, and Combat Medics. We once had a 5 k bleed dot. However, when I was a Commando Icould stack over 12 k. Try killing a NightsisterElder with MEDIUM armor piercing weapons. In order to touch the high endcontent you need either heavy armor piercing weapons, or poison.
Here are a few templates that will be good for the original poster: Combat Medic/Rifleman, Combat Medic/Doctor, Commando/Rifleman, Doctor/Rifleman.

Thanks for all of your responces, and for not going off on me for asking. I know you've probably gotten this question manny times before.
Yeah, but at least you're polite.
The first steps towards Jedi may involve earning enough badges to make the mysterious stranger show up. Many of these badges can be earned by exploring, some are from quests and you also get a badge each time you master a profession.
So use that POI tab on your datapad to visit places on each planet...many will award you a badge for visiting.
I've also read after that there's a series of quests that you need to complete after the "mysterious stranger" meets you and you go to the FS village. I've also heard that the first of these quests involves assembling a loot kit, much like the gongs.
