Personally, much like the person above, I send out emails to the entire guild asking them to reply if active every now and again because I keep a clean roster. I like to know how many people I have active and I remove those who aren't.

When I do remove inactives, I always send them an email saying if they are in fact active or do come back and wish to rejoin, just ask and they're welcome. I've had several come back once they become active again and have never had anyone upset.

If the person that is going to be the new leader votes for himself, does that count?

My guild is transferring leadership to me, and it's very close on the number of votes. I was just curious if my vote counted.

Yes, it does count. Make sure to vote for yourself to become leader as well since as of now you are just a normal member of the guild. The leader should also vote for you if they're able. Every person in the guild has a vote in the election of sorts, even the person who is wanting to take over.

the current leader is not in game now, thats why i'm taking over. i have already voted for myself, just wondering if it counts. since there is no way to know how many people have voted for me, i'm just having each person let me know on our guilds website once they have voted.

from what i understand, once i have 51% then i will have to wait up to 7 days (depending on where our guild cycle falls) before the transfer of leadership occurs, right?

Right. If you don't get the 51% by the time the cycle hits, you'll have to try it again, since it does clear per update cycle from what Jas found out. Hopefully you can get it quick enough.

ok, so if some people vote for me and I don't have 51% when the cycle starts over, I lose those votes?

Is there any way to tell when the cycle starts or ends?

what happens if the current leader removes himself from the guild? Will that automatically make me the leader? If so, can he be reinvited back once I become leader?

Has anyone successfully been able to change guild leaders with set allegiance? I've heard rumors that it's bugged, and our guild has not had any success even though we tried for 3 weeks. Although there's no guarantee that everyone went and did it even though 95% of our guild are active people. Then again, it could be due to the fact that we don't know when our update day is.

To find out your update day and time:
- Change either the name of the PA slightly or the tag slightly
- Tell your members what you are doing and why
- Have your guild members help track when the change happens (it could happen at anytime for a week)
- When it will changes, that time and day the PA updates

Since this changes every week, to keep track us this method:
- Go to your city (or any city) terminal
- Find out the update for the city
- Calculate the date and time difference between the two

The difference will always be the same as they are on the same server uptime clock.

PS- you can also use this method to track the FS Village phase shifting, just remember that the village cannot update in real time and will wait for the server reset AFTER it is ready for an update.

Hope this help ya!
