i think that the devs should make the rooftop from the guild halls useful... at present its just a really big empty spot...
for example, in my guild we rp the alliance, it would be cool if we could place some crates and stuff on the roof.. make it look like its a landing bay, something like that... instead of the useless hole it is...
thats my 2 cents...

This is something both PAs and the Architects have wanted. It's not just PAs that have rooftops, it also effects large houses and some mediums as well. I'd drop this in the architect forum as well so they can discuss it. I believe this is already in our wishlist, but if not I'll make sure it is.

Yea that would be really cool. We wanted to make ours a lounge area but found out you couldnt place any stuff on it ![]()
Although if your hall is in a placer city you can place city things on their like Mission terminals and lamp posts, if you so wished to

Man that would be so much usefull to me later on, as i am planing on getting my Generic PA hall up again, and last time it was like no use to have the roof top. well exception for using it as a Training area and Force Wielder RP Training sessions "LONG away from BH's"

Would be somthing nice to consider as a loot item would be a starship terminal.
Or the possibility of landing on said roof.
Or the possibility of landing on said roof.

We actually stage free-for-all battles up on top of our PA Hall. We're a neutral town with no fighting allowed in the streets. Period. So, if someone wants to duel or just have a silly free-for-all, we do it up there.

I too think there should be some way to allow building on the rooftop like there is inside. At the very least I think that in the city the roof should be considered part of the city grounds and be decoratable

on the radiant server they are currently being used for jedi matches in a tourney set up that includes 16 light and 16 dark jedi's. the matches have to be at a remote location and guild halls at various locations are being used for these's mathces. the roof top mathces are pretty kool. you can go to the radiant server posts to check out one of the matches that hvae already been posted.

Something I found to do that was cool was to design a light effect with waypoints for ceremonies and such since the WP will shine through on the roof. Just an idea. Then just forward them to people visiting.

What I think would be a good idea is if this area could be used as a landing bay for guild members ships with relevant terminals placed there.

I believe to leave them the way they are would leave them entirely useless and barren, an eyesore. The best option would be choice, when setting up the format of a guild hall, you should specify the functionality of aspects such as that, whether it would be a landingbay, for several ships, or decorateable for parties, or even to be covered, and made into a second story large room..
I truly believe guild halls should offer more variety in choice. I truly beleive when placing a hall, it shouldny be a generic basement, balcony, emptyspace guildhall, but should allow you to specifcy if its primarily underground, or primarily above ground, whether its two stories, three stories, or four stories.. And I believe that the type of inside walls, and and texture should be selectible. Do i want a pretty naboo guild hall, or a submerged metalic rebel base? With the same guild hall standard.. Its difficult to seperate the two..
