No, I don't have any insider development info on this subject. I just thought it would be a good topic for discussion and the results could be given to the DE Correspondent. With that in mind...

What types of droids or droid modules do you think would be useful to PAs??

Hologram (module)Spider Droid not only decoration of guildhalls

It shows the guildleader as a hologram. It can learn a few lines, maybe a small

dialogue. Guild leaders can place information, orders or something else. It would be cool if you could send the droid sentences via command, and it says it in the same moment (much similar like IRC bots). The learn function in IRC bots might be of use as well.Owner defines a string and a message as an answer and others can request information by sending the exact string to the droid. Would also be nice to leave guild information, FAQ or something like this with the system.

/askdroid orders
»Go to endorandharvest meat«

»Earn as much faction points as you can, to make yourself ready for the galactic civil war«

/askdroid They escaped

»Then you failed your mission«

Advanced ProtocolDroid (module)

This protocol droid is for... erm protocol things.it translates all languages into target language around (imagine a roleplay meeting with different species). Like above, it says what the owner sends it via tell-like-command. Although it might be of general use, you can spice up your guildhall with a droid butler. It would be also useful as a 'neutral' moderator.

/droidsay Good evening. Please wait for the householder. Do you wish a drink?

'Flag Bearer' (module) Droid

Might be a strange idea. This droid is a moving guild waypoint. Whereever it stands, there is a waypoint in every members datapad. Would be nice, if you could send it to specific locations by sending it the coordinates. Then the droids flys/walks/spawnsat the destination. You can name its waypoint for example 'gathering point: todays event' and guildmembers who come online find their way easy. Because its an object, you can make it follow a person and track it that way. Its of use, when people get lost on a huntbecause of LDs.

Recruiter (module) Droid

You can place it like a vendor in buildings or leave it as a droid somewhere else to recruit persons who are interested to join your guild. It gives kind of the dialogue, like the faction recruiter says. At the end, the player is listed in the guild hall as 'join request'. Someone with appropriate rights can then accept or refuse the player. There is ban list and several options (like it does not accept players who are currently in an other guild or it adds refused players to the bans list, so they do not register over and over again).

In general I'd like to see more interactive droids, like IRC-bots which you can program or even act through. If you are a guildleader you wish sometimes someone 'other' would do the talking, like a protocol droid.

hahahaha time for more droids

When I mentioned this topic in the past the only desire I had was to basicly have a guild terminal on wheels so to say for basic situations such as checking member lists and recruiting.

I love the hologram of the leader not only because a blue floating me in game would be cool to look at it would bring a lot of interactivity and make Guilds all the more robust.

I love the hologram idea. Have an R* Unit sitting in the main room of the guild hall as visitors come in and they can click on it to obtain a holographic image and the Guild Speech (Maybe what their goal as a guild is or such).

the moving guild terminal is a very realistic option that could be implemented.

Brainstorms require my brain to work which is evil .... but yes the floating terminal would be wonderful ... as I hate having to go to the guild hall when I wanan invite someone. Plus a droid guild terminal would open the door to having fun cermonies to induct somone into a guild in other locations then teh hall. Also possibly the chance to have prewritten speeches similer to merchant droids for when you add someone to the guild ... to have some type of cermony.

Possibly have the droids display guild logos (oh YES please give us these) and shout recruitments for guilds (for people who do stuff that way.)

Possibly have the droid set up in a local and have guildies have the ability to click it to get info about a guild event ... guild list or newsletters written by the guild leader (again like spam or what not.)

Just random not fully drawn out thoughts

Adroid module to allow leaders (or designated people) to recruit from anywhere would be nice.

A Droid Module to stick in a droid at the PA Hall that you can have people go request sponsorship into the guild. Everyone with Sponsor Rights gets an email, and someone is selected to go meet this person, and sponsor them.

Along with Being able to recruit from far away, how about Being able to Add guild titles, change admins, Just about anything you can do in the terminal be nice to do outside the terminal.

How about being able to add a Protocal droid to the PA schem to have a greeter that is programed by the Guild leader (not Pa hall owner)

here is a problem though:

Devs want people to have to work to aquire new things, so in short, what skill would these modules require?

Being a Guild Officer should suffice. (Leader/ Leader appointed people)

If you have a mobile Guild Terminal ... is there a point to a guild hall?

That's always been the one delimma we've always faced with PAs. The devs have stated that the PA is the defining achievement, IE the thing you have to work for to have and maintain a guild, so how can we add in modules or other tools without lessening that requirement.

Of course, The PA hall and its enormous lot requirement / storage space is the bane of our existance as well.

Jas had the idea of allowing guild terminals to be built into other structures or placed in them to add a little diversity, but that would still make it so you didn't have to have an actual PA hall unless it was specifically required, defeating the purpose.

The thing with the modules is that we have to try to maintain the need (however much we don't want it) so that the hall is still required in some form, unless we can come up with a really nice solution that the Devs would consider changing that aspect completely.

I think that modules that would allow sponsoring from a distance (on any planet) would be a nice addition, still requiring the actual terminal to fully accept.

Some of the other modules mentioned in here could have some nice potential as well.
