Question: According to the special description, Disarming Shot is used to damage the opponents weapon.
In your Specials FAQ stickied above, Disarming Shot does damage, altho it is bugged.
Now, I'm wondering, has anyone done any tests on DS's affect on weapon condition of opponents weapons? Does it even harm the weapon condition of a target?
I mean, logic points to it working this way, but i could be wrong.
But hey, if this worked, we could really mess with Jedi and their flimsy sabers, or Rifleman with a repaired 650/650 condition T21.

It doesn't damage the weapon. Already ran some tests where I dueled someone, then feigned death on them. They spammed DS1/2 for 5 minutes, no change in my equipped weapon's condition.

Im so glad that this thread pointed out that it does 2x damage to lairs.
I cant stand poping lairs after the mobs are killed, its biggest time sink in the game for me.

Hehe, you've been lied to I'm afraid.
Both these moves are broken, Disarm 2 does have a cone effect like Fan Shot but isn't as fast or powerful.

What?
*Wanders off to find proof*
Nope... more rumours it seems. Everything on test goes to live in a few hours so we can all prove that one wrong rather quickly.

It used to work a while back, i believe it was a knockdwon move. Then they changed it and it never has been working since. Are you sure it just doesnt do dmg to the enemy's weapon condition? That would be somewhat cool.

Yeah, it does nothing but random HAM damage.
Damaging a players weapon would be too much of a grief tool to ever happen and actually disarming a player would be far too overpowered in that you remove all their attack and defence bonus.
I guess both these moves will just be ditched for something else.
