Thread: Well it's official. BodyShot 3, SUX...
I got it and decided I'd compare it for myself, even though I've read countless posts about how it sucked. Well I can comfirm that it does indeed suck. I was doing more damage with BodyShot 2 just about every shot.
I'm thinking that the initials for it (BS) don't necessarily stand for Body Shot.![]()
Hah, I've never even fired it once... I have enough trouble with HAM and dps as it is...
Been using BS3 for ages. With the same gun and against the same target, BS3 consistantly does twice as much damage as BS2.Why do people keep saying it's broken.

Because it has a much longer delay than BS2, so you end up doing less damage over time unless you're a Master with a fast gun.
lol i read it sucks so many times before i achieved the box thatonce i got the box i never tried using it.

Phil, I guess I don't understand the speed cap then and when it is applied.
From what I've been reading from you, it sounds like the speed cap (1.0 sec) is applied at the END of the total speed calculation, like this:
((Speed of Gun) * (1- [Speed Mod / 100]) ) * (Move Delay) = Speed
where [Speed] is capped at 1.0.
I thought the first part "(Speed of Gun) * ( 1 / [Speed Mod])" was capped at 1.0.
The difference between these two points of view would be described like this:
FWG5 Spd 1.2 with Master Pistoleer (Spd +74) firing BS2 (2.5 Move Delay)
My equation:1.2 * (1- .74) = .312 Eff.Speed (capped at 1.0) * 2.5 Move Delay = 2.5
Your equation: 1.2 * (1 - .74) = .312 Eff.Speed * 2.5 Move Delay = .936 (capped at 1.0)
As you can see these result in drastically different numbers. My equation says I will shoot BS2 every 2.5 seconds, yours says BS2 every second.
Which is right?

Speed = (SpecialDelayMod * Weapon Speed) - ((SpecialDelayMod * Weapon Speed) * (ProfessionSpeed / 100))
The "speed cap" is applied to the result of this equation ... if speed is < 1 second, it = 1 second.
So a Master Pistoleer firing BodyShot3 with a 1.2 speed pistol =
(2.4 * 1.2) - ((2.4 * 1.2) * (74 / 100)) = 0.75 seconds, which hits the 1.0 second speed cap
The Master Pistoleer doesn't hit the cap with BodyShot3 if he uses a slower weapon, and doesn't hit the cap with all specials even using the 1.2 speed pistol. For instance, he'd fire StoppingShot every 1.25 seconds or so, using a 1.2 speed pistol.
