Thread: Well it's official. BodyShot 3, SUX...
So has anyone seen a post patch pistol made with anything near the kind of speed needed to hit the cap with BS3? From what I've read on the weaponsmith boards, there's about a .3-.4 reduction in the fwg5 speed, so that puts a pretty good *non-krayt of course since those aren't possible anymore* FWG5 at about 2.0-2.1 speed and *thanks to the patch -40 (on average) top end damage* about 60-170 damage.
So, lets say you wanted to get the speed cap with body shot 3. The math works out to hit speed capusing body shot 3 with master pistoleer you need a 1.6 speed gun.
Pre Patch that was no problem at all. You could get guns pre slice, non krayt at that speed. Throw on a nice damage slice and hit the field with a powerhouse gun.
NOW: Lets see to get 1.6 speed you NEED the speed slice. So, lets say you get you lucky speed slice. Now you take your powerhouse gun out into the field...but wait...only an average of 115 damage
Welcome to the wide spread effects of nerfs. Your gun is now about as good as a pre-patch scout blaster with a damage slice...Oh wait it's worse because of ham costs.
The devs need to fix the specials and the speed equation before they start "balancing" the proffesions becuase they are crippling the ability of some proffesions to operate on their own (w/out dabbling). Oh well, I guess that's why I bought 30 pre-patch fwg5's
