Well driod invasion is here....while looking at the stats of what they changed, pretty much every class got some type of fix thrown at them. Pistoleer got a huge overhaul.
1. republic blaster certification
That is all. No specials fixed, nothing.
Thoughts?

lmao ya that is rediculous lol. us poor pistoleeer get this huge great change wooo a republic blaster at novice yaya :/

the dodge animation for fencers is said to have been adressed, maybe this will affect pistoleers too?

It seems that Pistoleers will always have some flaw. It makes no sense that a Master Rifleman can fire as fast as a Master Pistoleer. If anything Carbineer should be just as fast as Pistoleer but less accurate. One day pistoleer will be un-bugged, but when that day comes no one will be a Master Pistoleer just dabblers.

Well I already knew that our specials were not being fixed this patch so the dissappointment factor has come and gone. I am tired of beating that dead horse. Only the DEVs have the power to resurrect it. Then again this profession never truly worked form the beginning as a whole.
As far as the RB cert at Novice, I will say this. If and when they augment that descision with more powerful pistols higher up the pistoleer tree, then I will be satisfied.

If you look at SOE's past trends they are more about the quick band-aid just to shut the angry mob up for a little while. Look at pre-nerf FWG5s. Now they can take them out ouf crates. They are dedicating people to thisupcomming combat redisgn which I dont think will come out until June 04.

They should've put the Republic Blaster Cert at Grips IV or something. That way, every MBH/Pistoleer dabbler won't be able to use our best gun.

Republic blaster is their fix now huh. Yippee, that is so encouraging that i ran out of tissues fighting back the tears.
The only reason i am mastering pistoleer is because of the stupid holo/jedi thing otherwise i would have gone tka or commando to get decent fighting skills.

Please keep in mind, that they also fixed the DoTs to affect the proper HAM pool. So now, when fighting a single critter, use Health Shot 2 as your Spam shot.

Side thought... Yes, there are problems with specials, but would you say that even given the current problems that the biggest thing that makes Pistoleers less than Rifleman (the general comparison) is because of the potential Rifleman attack speed? If so, then fixing Pistoleers may be more related to fixing Rifleman. Which will be called "nerf" almost immediately.
Funny how after all the time before they went production in July no dev or designer ever notice the obvious mathematical flaw in the speed formula, which could have been helped a lot by just capping the weapon speed skill mods. Hmm...

The dodge animations sucks period. I would rather get hit then seeing it because it slows you down toa stop.
As for dodge itself..horrible
With the melee to hit ranged bonus...i got cor butterflies hitting me 4 out of 5 times now.

FYI, as a BH I can still use Republic Blaster without Penalty after Publish 7. The certification is stil broken.
