Defense / To-Hit Fixes: Melee attackers now get a To Hit bonus when attacking targets with ranged weapons.
This bugs me a little bit. Not only do we use guns with a shorter ideal range than maximum melee range, now we are also at a disadvantage while doing so. I'm not saying that melee fighters shouldn't get to-hit bonuses vs ranged fighters, but Pistoleersare practically a melee/ranged hybrid.
This might sound harsh now, but IMO this fix is justified for rifles and carbines, not for pistols.

Pistoleer is a joke. If it wasn't for fanshot i would have used my best repub blaster strait to my dome. Oh and by the way the repub blaster cert is crap, my roommate is a bounty pistol who doesn't have novice pistoleer and he can still use repub blasters without any negative effects, sweet huh !

Really? That's intriguing. Sorry, weaponsmith chiming in here - I just wanted to check some things about republic certs. So you say the republic cert is just fluff still? Well that invalidates my point of interest - that being - the basic republic blaster is at Novice Pistoleer - yet the Modified Republic (which comes out better funnily enough, not due to it being modified but because of the addition of diatum copper to the schematic which improves the build weighting) is still at Pistols 3 in Marksman.

im still waiting for that magical "twirly move flourish" that magically appeared on the devs top 5 list of things to implement last augest.... forget about our broken specials and certifications.....

the combat changes that went into this publish were preliminary fixes for the upcoming combat revamp...
they fixed carbineer, changed a few specials (warcry, panic shot) to act as "crowd control" attacks and a to hitmodifier for melee against ranged attackers....
THAT'S it, i'm still confident we will get our love soon...... probably not in the form of working specials as they haven't since publish..... but pistoleers being the most popular profession in the game will probably mean we will get some love soon *crosses fingers*

are you sure they haven't changed anything?
My fully grown pet, normally cons red to me...logged on after the patch and it now cons white?!
It's stats haven't changed so I'm thinking they might have changed something else...and no I wasn't grouped with it or anything else.
anyone had a similar experience?
