I dont understand what you guys whine about. Pistoleer by itself is not all that powerful I guess, but either is any profession alone...... if you want to do pistols then your gonna have to pick up bh and possibly smug, A) you can solo anything in pve with my template because of FD B) I would put 100 mil credits that I can beat 99% of the people in this game that arent jedi....... all you need to do is save up your little rancor mission credits, get a nice geo blaster/de-10 and then also get some mind dot guns......... do you really think you could beat my temp with some good stun armor, soem synthsteak a psg and these weapons hittign you
2, 200+ str mind fire with over 150 dur 70 pot
2 220+ str mind poison with 130 dur 66 pot
a 480, unpoweruped geo
530 unpoweruped de-10
Like I said, stop complaining our profession rules.......if you honestly want to be good buy the best weapons its true with any profession..... and thats just my 2 cents

If you did not fieng death then I bet you even if you had both those dot guns I could take you with my current template with out a problem. Wanna see how
First Id posion resist my self then I would buff my mind and secondaries eat 2 brandy 1 arissa 2 canape and a moun
my mind would be around 3500
I have a 40% stun helm and a 55% stun psg my helm is also 80% energy
First I would intimidate u lowering your damage if you did this to me I would /healstate Yes I am a master Doc
then I would try and stick a dizzy pd on u. At this point I would see if you stuck any of those dots on me if you did I would heal them in 4 seconds. Then depending on your armor I would think with my 900 max power hammer it would prob take about 22 seconds to destroy your mind. If for some reason I noticed your mind was not depleting fast enough I would check and see if you have and medic. I I realized u did not I would go for health/ action. At this point you would start to kite. So I would then take out the nice 220 health posion combat staff I own. At this point I would just /busrt;/follow you and spam melee2handhit3 and wait till you droped.I see what your getingat pistols is nice my alt is a pistols all the way master pistols, 0040 BH and Smug and novice commando. But it lacks a very important skill mod melee mitigation. This is why I would use my power hammer. I would hit you b4 armor of course from anywhere min800- max 2k points of damge. Not to mention im speed and acurracy capped. What people post about wrong with pistols are other things. Things like needing smuglar to get most effective special. Or BH getting more speed and acurracy then master pistoleer. You have completely missed the point of some of the complaints. Any time you want to test your " i can beat 99% of any template other then jedi" come on over to Kauri server andI will school you in pvp.

ok..... a) I have burst run to and im def more effective at it b) I take 100% kd food c) have aa + ca against KD and dizzy, and I have melee mig 1 through smug....... so with abut 170 to KD, and about 100 to dizzy through my cloths mods it would be very hard to knockme down and dizzy c) I also have intim so you would be doing just as little dmg d) my armor is about 88% to blast so there goes your ph e) im an accomplished pvp with good weapons id eventually stick my mind fire an posion, f) I can kite you cant should I go on?

You can solo krayt dragons with your template... I mean with no tanker or help at all from others? If you can thats cool but most likely not.. sure I guess you could feign death all the time and not die but if a melee stacker comes over or a rifleman/swordsman or a tk/commando comes over he will get the loot rights. But hey if you can solo krayts and get the loot all of the time go for it.
While pistoleer is not totally crappy it needs some help. Sure I can beat a good amount of people in duels... especially when I kite them but ya you have to do the full pistol template to be effective.

I tell you what man. Give yourself four equally powerful DoT rifles and two non-DoT rifles that cost an equivalent amount to those two pistols you listed, and come back to these boards are try to present a valid argument on how pistols don't suck. Until then, stop complaining about people who complain. Have a good day.

I think that people complain less about our profession being weak and more about it being broken. There is nothing wrong with pushing for things that have been broken since launch to be fixed. It's been more than a year now and the only monotonour response we get oflate has been, "Wait for Combat Revamp"

Wow what server are you on? You can beat 99% of people with that template exept jedi? thats sad man obviously your A) fighting the wrong people or B) your servers PVP sucks
Your saying you can kite? = running away good melee will just psture you down after dizzying you
Your saying you can FD? = cowardly not letting someone whos better than you "win" ( if you have to FD to stay alive you lost just so you know)
Your dots suck.... and are some of the rarest weapons in game not everyone has those
If you think you could take a Pikeman master , TKM, Fencer master that has night sister lances and others with +300 mind fire mind disease +50 and mind poison +275 , that has stun armor 45% and psg of 53% your not just stupid but insane.
If you think you can take a CM riflman with +500 stackable mind posions your stupid. if you think you can take a doc tkm you might be right... maybe
truth is a exelent pistoler master vrs a excelent TKM, unless the pistoler can stay over 20m away from the tkm the pistolers going to die plain and simple.

so what you are saying is that it is the EQUIPMENT and not the profession that matters....nice.
another poster pointed out that if you take rifles of equal 'uberness' you will get pwnd as i am sure you are fond of saying.

OMFG i am speechless. MOST people in this game do not have a thousand billion dollars to go buy the most UB3R L33T DOT pistols on the market. For an average gamer this profession still doesnt necessarily suck, it is just broken. If you have to rely on DOT pistols that doesnt make you a good PvPer in fact good luck getting a duel if you bust those out everytime there is a fight. In this case you are nothing in PvP. The good PvPers LEARN how to use their profession. Relying on a DOT requires zero skills. DOTs like this completely ruined PvP on my server. So you can take your DOTs and shove em.
