So, could someone explain to me all the "Doubletap is teh suxx0r omfg" posts I see?

Sure. Because you live in a weird parallel universe, like those folks on the Twilight Show.
Or, more likely, you're not really paying very close attention to what's going on. For instance you said this:

That's simply not true, and cannot be true. The delay on Double Tap is 2.1, on Body Shot 3 is 2.4, and on StoppingShot is 4.0. I don't know what to tell you, pal.
Double Tap is a better choice for you than Stopping Shot. It's not a better choice than BodyShot. Just so you know, you should be using BodyShot2 at your level, not BodyShot3. Maybe that will help you.

By the way, when the Devs asked about bugs/fixes today, I told them that we call it "Double Crap." Someone said that on the other thread and it was funny. ![]()
However, I have tested this over and over and over. The absolute most damage I've ever gotten out of /bodyshot2 is 400-500. I'll stick to /doubletap. It works just fine in my Twilight Zone.
I really only use stopping shot on lairs and on mobs I have already knocked down with PMD1. You can lay a 2500 point beat down on a knocked down mob, and even though its "random" HAM it really "almost certainly health" HAM, so it usually helps. I did the same thing with double tap before I got stopping shot, but its just disappointing in general.
I did just read that whole "put the bleed on after a knockdown" tip yesterday, and must say thats changed my life forever.
I only resently got pistol whip, but I did notice when I use it, I barely have time to get off one bleed shot before they start to get up. (that might just be because my pistol is slow 2.2 DX2)

Don't look just at max damage per shot. Look at damage over time, and take into account the fact that DoubleTap spreads its damage over three pools instead of hitting one.
