Most of you must be pretty young; I mean the pistoleer is completely broken as a pvp class and most of you believe dual wield is the most important change you want to see? LOL We have what 30 percent of our specials actually implemented in the game and you want to see 2 pistols. Let me tell you young pistoleers you have no chance against a rifleman that knows what hes doing, You have a very small chance against a teras kasi that knows what hes doing, Hardly a chance against a bounty hunter (but a better chance than tk and rifle) Not much chance against a commando but better than the last 3. A pistoleer is useless in pvp right now(im talking about master oponents that outfit correctly and know what they are doing) But another pretty gun would really look cool.

I have looked at publish 7 notes and what do you know they are improving carbineer a whole bunch but not one mention of the wimpiest combat class in the game pistoleer. Dont get me wrong a good pistoleer is a great class to take out monsters just dont try to fight another player class.

No flames here. I like playing a Pistoleer as a class, but there is no way I would engage in PvP unless I had the Smuggler Dirty Fighting Line.

In PvE, I have a lot of fun. Since the specials roll so fast, believe it or not, while solo, I can outdamage manyclasses at the Tusken Fort and get loot rights. Fan shot is awesome in these situations. With some good self-buffing, I can be a Pistoleer tank, running in and pistolwhipping targets while dealing some nice damage on them quickly.

But, yeah. Every time I go overt to mix it up, I make sure I have enough faction points to dish out to the mightier classes.

Please dont use PvP as a justification for an argument when 95% of the playerbase never engages themself in PvP

I definitely agree that we need to concentrate on fixing our specials (and possibly getting new better specials) before we start talking about dual weilding. What's so great about having two pistols that spam broken, crappy specials?

I've been PvPing a lot lately and have been doing very well. I've only lost when up against multiple opponents. I've taken out Master Commando's with ease. I'm not a Master. We just have to use what we've got. Our forte at the moment is kiting. It keeps us alive, especially against Commandos and TKM's. We have accuracy while moving bonuses and we might as well use them. I like the whole run 'n' gun combat style.

You have to constantly run when fighting a tk if they knock u down once and dizzy u ,the fight is over also if they click follow on you and spam knock down they can usually get me down then dizzy ;fight is over. Another thing with the high defenses and great composite ,my krayt pistol hardly scratches people in pvp i had a tk gladly let me knock him down i then fanshot him until he got back up he was barely scratched. he then knocked me down dizzy game over. I think this god like tk was made with extreme defense stacking.

I know i could make my pistoleer tough if i dropped doc and picked up bh or smuggler but when u see a master rifleman take out a whole team of assorted masters you think why are pistoleers so wimpy in pvp?

And to the comment by the guy who said 95 percent of people dont pvp. I say 95 percent of the people havent exausted most of the game content yet. When you dont get xp from anything anymore and your character is finnished all you have left to keep the game interesting until a better mmorpg comes out is pvp. Also most (not all) of the people who dont pvp are either newbs, crowd campers or crafters. Believe me if the pvp system was viable many more people would participate. But as of now the pvp system is pathetic.

I cant argue that our broken specials need fixing before they give us dual wield. But I disagree with your, now quite offensive statement.

There are a number of reasons people don't involve themselves in PvP and it's got nothing to do with any of the things they mention. Many of them avoid PvP because it simply doesn't interest them, because they can find PvP much more interesting in an FPS, or because they don't want to be griefed.

My assessment stands. I think 95% of players don't PvP or do so on an extremely infrequent basis, and PvP should not be used to determine class balance.

i do not like the idea of dual pistols, but instead i think we should get a new pistol which the graphics show in both hands... have it fast, but moderate damage.

But as it goes for pistoleer, yea we need more fixes then new content. I only use three specials from the clas...

Well, I've been Master Pistol for a while and yeah, we're fairly gimped in PvP. I used to avoid PvP completely, but since finishing out my template I try to do a little every day.

So from that viewpoint, I'd say Yes, Pistoleer is pretty lame in PvP, but that doesn't make us much different than most professions. The entire PvP system is more or less hosed because of broken professions and poor design choices. GTEF alone makes PvP next to pointless.

Can all this stuff be fixed? Sure. In our lifetime? I wouldn't bet on it. Too few resources, too many broken systems. All this marketing fluff about the 'combat balance' fixing everything is just the latest bandaid on the severed artery.

Dual wield has got to be the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Go to a shooting range and try to shoot a pistol one handed, let alone 2 at the same time. This isn't a John Woo movie.

Personally I have been dying to see what Disarm 2 was intended to do, I've pretty much kept my account only for that reason. I really doubt they'll ever fix it though

Lol no its a star wars game, you know star wars, the universe where people move things with their minds, travel between solar systems as easy as getting a bus and oh the little ity bity fact, these are frickin laser guns, i think we left RL along time ago.

So yes we need our special fixed, i only use fanshot atm, but i still think this is a cool idea, just not at the top of the priority list.

My post was aimed at prioitizing things for these lame developers ;shadow bane had a much better pvp system and lasted 6 months, because of this game mostly. In my humble opinion ,we give the developers so much lee way in this game because most of us are in love with the star wars story and idea. In all actuallity this game is pretty shallow as mmorpg goes. it has nice graphics, i like the resource spawns(wow a little bit of rare chasing) mobs however hardly drop anything worth a crap. try anarchy online where there are rares ultra rares and ultra rares that need combined to make uber rares. I see potential in this game but as it stands now there will be a mass exodus from this game if they dont make pvp very interesting because quite frankly theres maybe 4 months of interesting content available now to the power gamers(and i say this from my perspective as a true mmorpg junky who played uo 6 years ,eq, ww2, daoc, anarchy, shadowbane( earth and beyond lol 1 week it sukt) I have always eventially got to pvp when most of the game content was exausted in my favorite mmorpg. I sum this up by saying from experience if swg wants to last one third the time as uo or eq they better fix the pvp combat especially since they made all the monster mobs so frikin easy (it used to take 10 people working on one ravenous torton for 10 minutes to kill one )(i can solo a nest of them by myself in 10 minutes and never come close to dying lol) So whats the use ??? I dont get xp anymore my characters done and maxed (screw jedi) Seriously do any of you feel my pain?

Yes, I feel your pain, PvP is so lame in this game I don't even bother with it except on rare occasions.
My favorite game for PvP is world war 2 online, just cause its so basic, ain't no levels, ain't no uber professions, ain't no magic system to decode to have the best template, you need to aim your weapons and practice with them to use them well, you get hit your dead respawn and start over, no radar showing you where the enemy is,you have to be patient and work hardwithyour squad to be succesful teamwork is such a must.. PvP in SWG is just autotarget and spam specials, no real level of teamwork other than everyone group and attack the other guys. I play SWG for a variety of reasons, none of which is to test my skills in PvP thats like putting checkers in front of a chess player. It could have been alot better, but they seem to be trying to please everyone and thats why it fails so miserably.
