What was it that made me go for pistoleer? For me, it was the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King... Here is the synopsis: A cowbow from another dimension in a Mad Max type world, a heroine adict from the 80's, a young boy from the 70's, and a legless black schitzophrenic woman from the civil rights movement, all team up and travel through time and dimensions to find the center of existance and stop existance from stopping completely... Its very weird, but very good. I know "Apprentice_of_eld" orsomething like that is a fan too... What was YOUR reason to go smuggler?

liked the SW movies but didn't really "love han solo" .. yet. Then i read about 12 - 15 books about Han Solo and knew what i wanted to do in SWG

Because a Wookiee with the nickname "Dirty Hairy" wouldn't really sound right as a Carbineer.

Actually, I'm old school. I'm just starting back post-cu, but pre-cu I liked have a different type of PVP template. I chose pistols because last ditch and a good geo were pretty decent and not many people in my circle used it.

Still can't smuggle.

Still haven't committed to dropping smuggler though..;. but st least nades work now.

After playing an Archer/Mage in UO for three years, I wanted something that had a quick rate of fire, so I chose Pistols over Carbs and Rifles.

Imagine my surprise when I got to Master pre-cu and found out it was one of the slowest professions going.

I'm glad that has changed now.

I've been a Smuggler for almost all my time in SWG. I was a BH along with it for quite a while but decided that I didn't want all those fancy pants carbine/rifle things.

I became pistoleer cause if fits very well to a smuggler, i might not dish out damage like all the others but playing crowd control in a group is way more interesting than just using the same one or two high damage shots all over again.

You are not alone, we have several toons named after Roland on our galaxy, and it is a common influence here.

don't know to be scared or not but i also had an archer/mage in uo.... weird... but then again i had a ranger in eq.... a doctor in ao......

so i guess i just took everything combined from all 3 class's into 1 nice templete

I started the game as a marksman, trying to get Bounty Hunter. I had to grind Master Marksman for that so I had to test both rifles, carbines and pistols. I loved carbines the most so I grinded that out first, did it pretty fast. Then I did rifles cause those pistols were just not my thing. Then I had to do pistols and I did. After completing the first box of pistols I just loved it soo much I only wanted to use a pistol after that day. Thats my story

well, Gassy already took mine. My character name is ro-land deschain, from the Dark Tower series by stephen king. he's a gunslinger.... so, hmm wonder what profession he could be? that and i'm a pistol man myself.

(what is it that people aren't getting GG?)
