the hope of getting to dual-wield, having holsters to actually "quick-draw", being able to hold a weaponin one hand, and Han Solo used a pistol most all the time.

if you turn your graphics way down and your field of view way up the wireframe for your toon doesn't put his second hand on the gun, FWIW.

There were a few factors in my choice:
- Pistols, to me, are a sign of finesse, style, and versitility
- Pre-CU, the specials sucked but the defenses rocked
- Post-CU, the specials are pretty cool, but the defenses are not so great
- Carbines and Rifles make me run like I have a load in my pants
- Jango Fett was much sexier than Boba, Jango was a Master Pistoleer
- I loved the DE-10 until it got hit with the major nerf bat
- Pre-CU..it looked great pulling out a DE-10 on an unsuspecting Jedi and eye-shooting him at point blank range
- I thought it was funny killing a rancor with a pea-shooter
I'm sure there are more, but Pistoleer is very very very hot

what made me go 'back' to pistoleer.
1. It was my very first proffession mastered (along with Creature Handler), both of which i had for well over1 year.I kinda missed it.
2.New pistols that actually 'do' some damage
3. lots of skills to use (states, knockdowns, etc).
4. my character is UB3R with a pistol. muhaahha
