Thread: Survey: Elite Pistoleer Template + What?
- Polearm 1 & 2 from Brawler so you can use Nightsister lances with diseases and poisons. Personally, I'd rather just use a poison Geo pistol because you can do it from range and get all your speed and accuracy bonuses.
- Slicing 1 from Smuggler for extra credits per mission. I did this once before they corrected group mission payouts. It was just too annoying to do given the randomness of the bonus. Only once in a while did I get lucky and get a good bonus for the type of mission I wanted to do.
- Novice Carbineer for Full Auto Single 2. I've been reading that using an Enhanced E11 carbine gives you an extra Health bleed and using the Full Auto Single 1 special (from Marksman) can give you a Dizzy state. Taking Novice Carbineer might not be worth it since you can already accomplish what you need without it.
- Novice TK for Meditate. Anything else here? Meditate isn't a good combat skill and at novice it only slows down bleeding.
- Investigation 1 from Bounty Hunter for very easy, super quick and fast missions. You can get 6k credit bounties that are < 200m away. Easy peasy.
- Hunting 1 & 2 from Scout for getting those uberorganic resources forprofit.
- Force Powers. I've never gotten into Jedi much. I suspect some Ranged Accuracy and/or Ranged/Melee Defense might be useful. Don't need Ranged Speed cuz we're already speed capped.
Have I missed anything? Am I off base with anything? What do you do and why?

FS accuracy...you can never be too accurate. id avoid all medic skills cause you cant heal mind
As far as I know, the FS Ranged Accuracy branch (as well as Ranged Speed) is still broken, so I wouldn't waste your XP on it just now. I'd start with FS Melee Defense instead.
As for Medic skills, I find mine indispensible as a Pistoleer. I'm a 3/0/4/0 medic, and can't even begin to count the times I've saved myself from certain death by being able to heal my bleeds in mid-battle, and instantly regen my Health and Action pools to 100% with a single click. True, you can't heal mind, which could be an issue if somebody is doing a mind attack in PvP, but you can compensate for that to some degree with foods (brandy, canape, blue milk), mind buffs, and a good mind stats migration. As a PvE player, I find I can't live without medic. Do any PvP Pistoleers reading this find it as indispensible as I do, out of curiosity?
