Thread: Let's cry enough that the t21 gets nerfed!
Well the rifleman cried long enough that the FWG5 got nerfed, lets see if we can't do the same for the t21! Firstly, the t21 has allready amazing damage, but if you factor in the AP3 rating it has you are talking about one AMAZING gun. With the speed mods a master rifleman can have the fireing speed is no problem. And rifles hit a HAM pool that cannot be healem like the health and action pools. Is any of this fair, I think not. Either the FWG5 needs to get unnerfed or rifles need to fire alot slower and only have like AP1 or 2. Bloody see how they like havinf their best weapon nerfed to hell. BTW, to the 30 to 40 rifleman left in the game, please feel free to flame this as I am sure you will. <target riflemen> /flipthebird
Most rifleman say that they use Laser Rifle most of the time over the T-21. It fires faster, costs less Ham, and has greater damage potential. It's the exact same way we are with the DX2. FWG5's can fire faster, has more damage potential, and used less ham.
If you want to get them nerfed, nerf the Laser Rifle. It's the most widely used Rifle in the game, and the T-21 has already been nerfed. The Laser Rifle is the best all around rifle they have, get that one nerfed so they would feel what they did to Pistoleers.
Well one of the Dev's, I believe Holocron stated that it's easier to 'nerf' and is the preferred route because it's easier to make something weaker and balance it in the game as opposed to making something stronger.
Making something stronger means they'd have to re-evaluate every other aspect of the game to make sure that it's not made too strong.
Basically, they are going to nerf everything down into "balance". If something is too strong, nerf it rather than making everything else stronger to compensate.

Nerf what? At master rifleman I kill myself alot faster than a BH can spaming eyeshot (thanks to defective food, drugs, etc..). With my stats maxed unbuffed, I am at 1100 600 500 mind. This works out to 134 mind used per strafe shot 2(random pool). I shoot about every two seconds for 3-4k, this is true. I can keep this up for a grand total of about 20 seconds or so. Once I reach that point, I pick up my pistol because at leastI can heal the damage I do to myself with it.
The point is we all have our problems. You had alot less rifleman asking to nerf the pistol than you did asking them to fix the t21. I have alot of friends whoIneed to back me up in battle use this pistol.It sucks the dev's are nerfing instead of fixing.
The Riflemen were not seeking a Pistoleer nerf.
I don't know how much more clearly I can phrase it.
The T-21 has already been nerfed repeatedly. The justification for this nerf was that it was "overpowered."
And then suddenly we see a bunch of other weapons come along that could outperform the pre-nerf T-21. Such as the Commando weapons and the uber Krayt FWGS pistols.
So we (quite naturally and reasonably, IMHO) say "Hey, Devs. You said we couldn't have our T-21 the old way because it was overpowered. And yet look at THESE weapons."
The purpose of this line of reasoning should be obvious to the casual observer: "If THESE OTHER weapons aren't overpowered, then neither was our pre-nerf T-21."
That was the sole intention behind the commentary on the FWGS pistols, modulo a few pissants. So blame the Devs, not the Riflemen.

1 - DX2 is far less effective as an elite weapon for Pistoleer thanthe curret T21 is torifleman.
2 - FWG5 is (was) the only viable option for Smugglers who dont have their own weapon certs.
3 - FWG5 does heat damage that is greatly resisted on most objects within SWG.
4 - FWG5 is AR0. T21 is AR3.
Now, taking all that into account, I wonder how the cry baby Riflemen could really feel that threatened with this gun.
I know there are a lot of good, honorable Riflemen out there so this doesnt apply to you.

To you other cry baby riflemen- MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
Your 4th pointVoodoois completely crushed by the fact that you can spam 4k damage potential stopping shots @ 1 second and a T21 can shoot a 4k damage potential head shot every 5 seconds. AP3 is hardly a justification for 500 damage 1 second spamming FWG5's.
Slore, you are arguing extremes. Sorry, but that math is not reality.
First, you need to be talking about an exceptional krayt enhanced, 35% dmg sliced and with a powerup fwg5. If so, you might get a 4k dmg attack. BUT, not at 1sec stopping shot. For most non-masters stopping shot has about a 4 second penalty. Best I've read from masters is 2 seconds.
WAIT! I'm not going to continue this post. I just noticed you're a bounty hunter. There's nothing you canoffer this forum. You have the best pistol in the game and as good or better pistol mods.

You already did that, the devs listened, and the T-21 is now utterly useless in comparison to other guns.
I don't understand why you all believe that we wanted you nerfed and not our own gun fixed when that was the obvious purpose. I also can't believe how you can justify shooting stopping shot for amazing damage roughly 5 times as fast as a rifleman can fire headshots or strafeshots. Yes we can hit the 1 second cap...at master. Any level but master and a novice pistoleer can defeat us. We have the hardest grind in ranged combat and the best bonus when the grind is complete, you guys have an easy grind with good modifications and other skill trees to reach a great bonus. Yay.
Extremes? I highly doubt extremes there tough guy. I have seen a SS of ButtonHoffer, some uber dabbler on sunrunner, hitting a droideka for 4k damage 8 times in a row with stopping shot. Thats not extremes. That SS was viewed at least 3 weeks ago with a mediocre 400 damage pistol. And on sunrunner nonetheless, which is hardly advanced in weapons.
