Thread: Blue Milk UnderRated?

As a pistoleer I was wondering how many of us use blue milk in pvp instead of brandy. I have been using it for little over a month and have been very pleased. I will normally use a canaipe to put my armor on and only use blue milk when my mind needs to be healed. Blue milk offers much more mind "potential" then brandy:

On an Empty stomach:

  • You can only take 2 brandies for an extra 800-900 mind

  • In the same time you can take 3 blue milks which has the potential of 1500-1800 mind healing

To remove mind costs you have two choices

  1. Caniape, 700 to secondaries for 10min(great for when you need your mind pool to regen faster)

  2. arhisa 400 to focus for 45minutes and you can probably get away with only taking one and still have enough room for a vercupti with will give you an extra 1k+ mind incase of emergency

The hardest part is finding a vendor that stocks blue milk. So anyone else do this or anyone know of something better to do. This food template works really well with full mind buffs, but again what does't.

Aitha's pretty decent too since it's got very low filling, unfortunately it's an Artisan food so it's even harder to find.

Blue milk is underrated across the board, not just PvP, but also PvE. I use it on hunts and in PvP battles. 1 Vercupti, 1 Brandy and then canape and room for Blue Milk. It's a great combination, especially in combination with buffs.

brandy adds to focus/willpower too...

blue milk can save you, but for how long? 1/2, 1 tick?

But do you need that extra focus/willpower?

And this is set in a perfect world were there are no CM's....jk

Blue milks will save you almost 2x as long as taking brandies would.

I usually run on 2 brandies (timed right you get the effect of three for a while), a couple Ahrisa and a Canape. Plus I powerboost as often as possible, +500 isn't much but it helps.

That equates to a buff of +1350/+2380/+1550 or so... my specials use very little Mind, what is used is recovered very quickly. Any damage that gets through my helmet should heal fast, but if it doesn't I can always pop a Muon in an emergency. And then there's musician and dancer buffs.

I really don't see a point to shortchanging your overall stats to get a one-time heal, when higher constant stats make it less likely you'll need that heal at all.

I second that...when your willpower is high enough you'll regen a blue milk's worth on mind in under a minute

PVE me my mind is NEVER a problem

Even if I'm playing buffed in PvE, I always have blue milk on hand. The usual double Brandy/Canape is great, but when the fit hits the shan you're happy to have a backup. Having to wait a few more minutes to take your next brandy beats dying and losing your buffs.

As a whole, chef vendors are understocked in terms of variety. They are overstocked with the staples: brandy, canape, synthsteak -- they sell really well and they have their place, but the customers frequently wish they could find a vendor with some less profitable items. Thankfully, Blue Milk isn't so hard to find. I think the other foods (such as my favorite for un-doctor-buffed play, Accarrgm) will make a comeback after Doctor Buffs get rebalanced.

Accarrgm? Randonb you are going to have to fill me in I have NEVER heard of that hehe.

My food for those "oh sh*t I am overt and unbuffed" situation is vercupti, paired with a brandy.

Not great, but best solution I know of.

My favorite to cap a few things without a hassle of getting a full buff. I do have 1k mind and 500 Health/Action so it works well for me.

Arcarragm (brandy for the action pools)
Gamerol (brandy for the health pools)
Canape (12m/33fill variety, one up at all times)

Accarrgm is like the vasarian brandy of action. If Im unbuffed, I like to take 1 accarrgm, 1 garmorrl (sp?), and a muon for the mind. Sprinkle in some food and your generally in good shape. Of course, I would never go around overt like this...but its better than nothing.

Hmm, I need to find a chef that sells this Arcarragm and Gamerol. Sound like good things to keep in the inventory.

I believe all you would need is the arcarragm. Only thing that really hurts us is that action pool. Usually taking one arcarragm will cut my 126 action cost last ditches down to around 70. Griggs if would like to try out some arcarragm I have some in my inventory. For some reason i believe I bought it from sooner as well, but could be wrong.
