Thats right keep whining about how tough TKA are. And how uber they are. You'll get us nerfed to. Thats all we need is another nerf.

Well, one thing to keep in mind is that you are carrying a lot of defenses from Pistoleer over with you to TKM which makes it even easier. Specifically, all that melee defense and the state defenses from pistoleer are helping a lot. But, you are pretty much right. I was once a pistoleer a long time ago so I can say the difference is pretty big too sadly
Pistoleers, however, *are* better in PvP against a prepared opponent simply due to the fact that Kinetic damage(and heat damage) is so easy to protect against. And, as of right now TKAs can only do kinetic, although they will have an extremely hard to getheat option soon which really won't affect PvP much at all from how it is now.
It really can be a sight to behold to view a powerful (or just working) profession in action, after being a Pistoleer for so long. The melee defense from Pistoleer does help for stacking. I think we get 45, but I'm posting from work and don't have my notes. Not enough to really matter at Master Level all by itself, but enough to notice stacking as a low level melee. But if you really want to excel as a TKA (and not a Pistoleer hybrid), you'd be better off getting Master Brawler and getting your defenses from Fencer.
Good luck withit. ![]()

yeah if you wanna stack go fencerbut if u wanna have fun playin i say tka is the way to go tka is really fun imo.
and sorwdman are good cause they get a stun batton.and good defence.
Good luck with TKM, it is one of the nicer professions. The combat balance will be great to everyone, and will hopefully bring pistoleers back to what they were pre-armor and buffs.
One point for pistoleers: We are not broken (as some individuals keep implying), we have inaccurate descriptions on our specials (but using them will show everyone that they do work, just in a different manner than the description says). One of the largest issues with pistoleers is armor and buffs. We were designed to be high defence (top two defence classes are fencer and pistoleer) but low in dmg. We have a huge variety of dmg type. So in a world of solo PvE (not what the game is designed for) or PvP with high quality armor and buffs (also not the original intent of the game design), pistoleers can not out damage other professions (but a well designed template pistoleer should be able to stale mate everytime). But in a group, pistoleers still can help enormously in both PvE and PvP. As for the comparison between melee and range, there is a world of difference between them, tumbling should function in the exact same manner as Center of Being.
You're right, it's not 'us' that's broken, it's combat that is broken. And Rifleman
(what they get +90 speed and we only get +74?)
Oh right and our specials that become worse or cease to work as you go up the skill tree. I think we have a word for this condition...oh right it's called being broken...I mean borked.
