Thread: Wow i didn't really know till i saw it for myself!
I found this link in another thread to a damage per second calculator.

I played with using my VK's stats. Damage didn't look like anything special. 400 range with unarmed hit 3. I forgot the damage mod. On a whim I just added to the damage on the VK and hit 1060 per second. (Didn't think that would be accurate but looking back it is.)
I played with my friends rifle stats. It rangfor 970 per second with a 7.2 speed rifle.
I played with my best pistol (355 damage repub) stats and got a lousy 504.5 on fanshot/roll shot. (Maybe I spam rollshot eh?)
HOWEVER! I added stats for a template with medic, BH pistols 3, and master pistoleer and rolled 1120 damage per second with stopping shot.
Equals TKM and Rifleman right? Damage wise yes, it passes it. But take into account that they can grab 125/125 defense with theirextra skiill pointsto the bh/pistol templatesmeasly 22/47. And don't forget the 2x aiming mod thingy they threw in for fighting ranged against melee.
Anyway.
Well, pistol is good for something to break from the legions of assassins, swashbucklers, and teras kasi mystics. You look unique with a pistoleer title because not that many people have them. But if you doing much fighting. You better have one of those othersas well to survive. ![]()

so true... best thing i liked about tkm was meditate and force of will... i hardly ever used the fighting skills.

While it is true that there are professions out there that just totaly blow pistoleer out of the water and makes you want to drop all the pistoleer skill just to go that profession so you can runn off and solo alot of stuff like nightsisters.... I mastered pistoleer a long time ago with Aezia and moved on to TK over five months ago never looing back untill my wife decided she wanted to play also.
Now she first chose the entertainer route, fine to each their own then as the people she knew began moving on to the next holo profession and left her trying to fit in with a new crowd of grinders she became bored. now if you have ever seen a ranged combat person running around wielding their t-21 riffle or their assault carbine you know that those things are just bloody huge.. and Ieota, my wifes character is only like 4ft nothing. So mainly for roleplay perposes she decided to go with pistoleer.... as pistols are inconspicious. no one really notices that in her hand is a scout blaster when she has her master musician title up.
So the moral of this tale? who cares if all the specials don't work 100%, the concept of roleplay allows a master dancer to be able to wield a weapon and not look bizzare. Never intending on being the best at a combat or having the biggest gun opens up a world of RP opertunities.
