that is a great pvp template but in pve you are not going to do much damage. well on high end mobs. With only light armor peircing you arenot going to be doing much damage compared to a heavy swordsman or the evil riflemen.

I'm a Master Fencer, Master Pistoleer and it is great in PvP. It is also great in PvE. I actually never use Pistoleer anymore LOL. I solo'd the Geo cave with this template (using Fencer) and can kill just about every type of Nightsister (again with Fencer).I haven't tried to take on Axkiva yet though. Gehn45 is right, you don't do much damage but you are pretty fast, and with the Center Of Being macro running you almost never get hit. Taking on 2 or 3 Nightsisters or a couple of Enhanced Kwi is pretty easy. Granted you won't kill them as fast as a Master Heavy Swordsman but you won't be far behind them.

My post is really more of an advertisement for Fencer. With Master Pistoleer it only took me a couple of days to grind Master Fencer. They compliment eachother well. Actually Pistoleer probably compliments Fencer more because Fencer has Center Of Being.

Yes, this template works very well. The defenses stack very nicely (including both Ranged & Melee mitigation!), and we can't forget the readily available Stun Baton in PvP.

It works great for me in pve. It's a great template for both.

it's good, just not as good as during defense stacking. fencer/doc > fencer/pistoleer though

I'm actually doing this right now and even at low levels I'm feeling the love. On the defensive it's outstanding. You won't deal out as much damage as other templates for sure... but you are a really hard nut to crack. this is a nice template iof you're dabbling a little in Squad leader and wear that tag. In PVP people love to whack the squad leader first to get rid of their group bonuses and volley fire, but going Pistoleer/fencer ( besides being the weapons of choice for any self respecting officer ) do go a long way toward helping you matrix enemy fire and wade through combat. If you bring high damage output friends and hold your opponents attention while they strike your team will do well. And as mentioned above... yes, the venerable Stun Baton. Love that stun damage, because I'm so very tired of Composite.

It's a great combination, of that I doubt anyone can dispute.

How well does master fencer work against high level mobs? such as krayts and nightsisters? I'm just curious and debated whether to master fencer or not.

Nightsisters are pretty much a cake walk for this template. Krayts are a different story. I'm sure some people have taking down a Krayt as a Fencer/Pistoleer but if you really want a melee profession that can do it better you'd want Swordsman or Pikeman.

This is prolly the wrong place to ask this but have another question for you Arogalt. With mylack of extra skill points i can only go 4440 in fencer. Ishould be already capped on dodge and i candig up the +10 in speed withskill tapes that i would get at master. I willbe justmissing alot of accuracy. Do you still think this will work well in pve?

It's hard to say. You definitely will miss a lot in PvP. PvE might be a little rough also. What is your full template again?
