Thread: pistoleer/fencer any good?
If you have to choose between novice medic and the meditation line of tka then meditation is much better especialy than novice medic imho. First, I dont miss medic at all as a pistoleer. Novice medic is slow and takes quite a lot of mind to heal. With meditation you get powerboost and forceOfwill. Plus after you kill the nasty CM you can meditate your wounds poisons and wounds away as well as heal.
I really like meditate 4...obviously..hehehe..
BTW you do know that if your pistol is about 1.0 speed or higher that you will not cap unless you have speed tapes. I figured that you need about 13speed points or 87 to max out a geo pistol at 1.9 speed hitting last ditch. I could be wrong but I think thats close.. I only have 83.

For PvE, you should do the following: Master none of the professions!
Dabble, takethe best defences from every class you can. Get commando flame 4, carbineer intimidation defence, fencer 0/4/4/0, pistoleer 1/0/4/0, feign death. TKA defences to finish off. That will give you incredible state defenses, melee/range defenses, dodge at cap, flame thrower dmg, feign death to give you a breather, and the great fencer center of being. Fight as a fencer, using pistols and flamethrowers to bleed. With this template you can solo most anything (a giant or ancient Krayt willbe tough).

I think it's just a glitch. It does it to me too. Really frustrating sometimes, isn't it?
By mastering both you end up with 195 dodge, which is incredible. Dodge is an excellent skill and having a lot of it certainly doesn't hurt. I gave up fencer a little while ago for BE but it was good while it lasted.

dont forget dodge caps at 125 my friend, thats 70 points of dodge wasted. Here's what I'm doing:Master Brawler, Master Pistoleer, 0040 smuggler, 0020 fencer, and 4304 teras kasi.
I use +32% synthsteak, 90% base armor 37% stun, 46% psgs, have ranged damage midigation 3 (I believe this gets ridof30% damage), and intimidation 2 (gets rid of a further 50%). I also have melee mitigation 2 (gets rid of 20% of melee damage). So, the infamous (at least on tempest) Milk Gunner w/ his 1500 max T-21 will be doing this w/ stopping shot:
5000(.25 (pvp reduction))=1250(.1 (armor))=125(.68 (synthsteak))=85(.62 (energy rating on PSG))=52.7(.7 (ranged mitigation 3)=36.9(.5 (intimidation 2))=18.5 damage....woah, a buffed player regenerates at about 18.5 per second...... however I'm not sure about the order at which this goes in so this may be very off, clarification about defenses would be great.
