Thread: BH's and their silly SP arguments......
I am pretty new to the forums and hadn't started checking them daily until a few days ago, but what I have found is that the people on the BH forum really dont know what they are talking about...... For some strange reason, they believe they should be better thenwith Carbines then a Carbineer, better with Pistols then a Pistoleer, and better(or equal to) Commandos with their heavy weapons AND have med skills in investigation, get player bounties, and have the ability to see covert faction members and attack them. When a Pistoleer spend 92 points on pistol (15 novice mark + 14 pistol 1-4 + 63 for Master Pistoleer) anda BH spends 44 points on pistol (15 novice mark + 14 pistol 1-4 + 14 BH pistol 1-4 + 1 master BH). BH's are meant to combine all their weapons and come out on top, not be better with each then the elite marksman classes.If a BH wins in a shootout by combining carbine to KD and LLC/Pistol to deal dmg or any combo of their skills then its acceptable, but when a Pistol 4 BH can beat a Master pistoleer using only pistol something is wrong....
Nothing against BH's (I have quite a few BH friends), but you guys need to realize you are really in a better place as far as classes go. Yes, there are some problems with the defenses BH's get, I understand that, BUT there are many classes that need much more work. For Example, Pikeman, I have mastered this profession and trust me you have nothing to complain about; pike is just bad nuff' said. Melee in general is a lot worse off then BH's. And you are way ahead of other classes just because all/most your specials/mods WORK AT ALL. I have been through many professions as many on the Kettemor server know, (Carbineer, Mastered CH, Mastered TKA, Mastered Pikeman, Pistoleer, Smuggler, BH) and believe me BH's arein a much better place then a lot of other classes
All i have to say about there skill points is that a Master Scout/Marksman with master in Rifleman, Carbineer, or Pistoleer should be able to kick a Master Bounty Hunters @$$, because its the same skill points but specialized into one weapon. BH should be versatile and if they use they're spare points wisely deadly not both and have some skills left for medic.
I hate it when people bring up other professions but it seems like this will never end especially with the crap the Bounty Hunter correspondent has been asking for. Bounty Hunters should be happy the way they are and leave all the other proffessions alone if they aren't going to help them.
Personally I found it funny that Bounty Hunters were complaining about being weak versus creatures.
Because, you know, people who spend their life hunting down and killing people are usually REALLY GOOD at fighting animals.

BH's want something to show for thier investment, and since the BH tree is nearly pure combat, they have to rate themselves on just that, combat.
Perhaps if some of thier MASTER scout actually showed up in the BH tree, BH's on a whole would not be so adamant about keeping pace with the other combat professions.
Most BH's are not for *direct* power increases, Infact many would agree we should not be stronger with a pistol then a pistoleer.
However what most BH's do *want* is a combat/scout Hybrid (I know go figure, would would have though the BH be a marksmen/scout hybrid *cough*!). Someone who uses traps/darts/gadget, as well as nice weapons to overcome thier oponent, but they should not be better with said weapons then specilists....

Give me player bounties and this will then be a valid post. Current missions are completely broken so we arent hunting bounties, we're grinding xp very slowly.

I don't see anywhere on the BH Forums where we say we should be better with Carbines than a Carbineer, better with Pistols than a Pistoleer, better than Commandos, or have the ability to see covert faction members and attack them. Yes, the idea was brought up about the med skills, and player bounties for a bounty hunter should probably be a given (well, Jedi Bounties should start soon, thanks Phil for the link). But we don't say that we should be better with Pistols than you guys.
That's right, Pistoleers should > BHs in pistols and Carbineers should > BHs in carbines and Commandos should be > BH in heavy weapons. What's the point in being a BH then? Oh right, so you can kill PC/NPCs, but wait, Eyeshot actually works so the world wants it nerfed. So tell me, why should anyone be a BH? So they can take bounties and invite all their pistoleer friends to come along and kill it because BH can/should be able to do nothing?
I'm not saying BH should > all (and they don't), but they should be competitive with all the other combat classes. I was Master Pistoleer for a time and it is nowhere as gimped as most people make it out to be, so quit your complaining. SWG is the game of endless whining, it's amazing really. Everyone just whines because everyone else is doing it and if they don't they get nerfed. Carbineers say Pistoleers rule, pistoleers say they suck and riflemen say they are the worst, then pikemen say no, THEY are the worse, etc. Give it up people, all classes need work but every class has their redeeming factors, so just work with what you have instead of claiming everything is broken.

sure they where, they wanted to heal like a doctor under the investigation line
They want to have robotic tanking pet's like CH's but robot's instead
They want their HIGH damage LLC to be rifle experience and able to use rifle specials with it
They want to track like ranger's
They want to dodge and crap better then pistoleer's
and the list goes on, but hey, more power to you guys
the power of the BH should be the ability to use multiple weaponswell - to pick and choose.
the current power of the BH is the ability to use multiple weapons better than weapon specialists.
Talak JaadeThese are the types of posts that are completey counter productive. Serious gamers have little concern about other professions and much concern about fixing their own. My second character, a BH,and the majority of serious adult BH gamers want the same thing pistoleers want...to have their profession fixed. Stop perpetuating this petty pistoleer v. BH fued. It exsists only in the minds of a few apparently poor PvP players who became upset when a BH killed them.

For those who complain about others complaining about bugs in game umm aint that just the pot calling the kettle black? Oh and for the record if there was no complaints at all think Soe fix anything ?
So instead, thank all the whining sniveling yellow bellied cry baby's cause if not for them this game really be messed up.
