Not a flame or a rant, just an informational post....

My Scatters went from 117-184 1.9 to 112-146 2.2

Pre-patch VS post patch.....

In comparison, current build DX2's (Made by a WS who can make 117-186 1.9 scatters) are 106-165 2.2 speed.

135 DPS (DX2) 20/42/20? (Dont quote me)

129 DPS (Scatter) 18/51/18

The only diffrence now is the scatter is slightly more accurate at a distance, while the DX2 is more accurate up close, and the DX2 is better on HAM usage. In other words, the scatter now sucks, and the DX2 is now the new "king" of pistols (Sad isnt it?)

wether the scatter or dx2 is better post-nerf is irrelevant now because the republic blaster seems to be better then both now and everyone can use them.

Scatter 112-146 2.2 18/51/18 -39 (point blank) +28 (7 meters) -89 (64 meters)

DX2 108-165 2.2 23/42/15 +20 (point blank) -21 (8 meters) -90 (64 meters)

DPS Comparison....

Scatter=129 (DPS) Action per torso shot 63

DX2=136 (DPS) Action per torso shot 54

Very true gunner!!

Going to grab some republic blasters now, and save my pre-patch scatters until they are a suprise in PvP . Or sell them down the road, should I choose to give up BH all together

I'm not sure I understand your numbers, auto-fire is 1.5x the base attack. Base attack is the average between the high and low end, so...

[email protected]= 106+165= 271/2=135.5 base attack value. Add in the auto-fire 1.5*135.5=203.25

at a 2.2 speed rating you get 5 attacks in 11 seconds without any class mods.

So thats 5*203.25=damage over 11 seconds, so dived by 11 to get DPS

5 * 203.5 = 1016.25 / 11= 92.386 dps on the DX2

using the same formula that gives the new scatter 87.954 dps. My numbers agree that it is now no better than the dx2, but at just over 4 dps it's hardly a hands down victory.

The real decider between these 2 guns is the range mods. I know very little about being on the grip side of a scatter, but the dx2 is by far the least accurite pistol I have access to.(you ever see a positive range modifier on a scatter? I rarely see 1 on the DX2)

I may be missing something here, in which case please educate me.

The new uber pistol is the power5 or the republic blater. I'll be holding on to my pre-nerf tangle, at this rate it will be very good soon.

you other post just came up, so if buddy is sitting very still, or kd'ed, the dx2 gets a bonus, where the bonus range on the scatter just happens to be /follow distance?

I think thats the decider.

How good is that republic blaster vs. the dx2 when fighting something with acid vul, and 40% energy resists?

Woops your right bwary, I *ment* average damage on the pistols, not DPS, sorry hehe very very early and no coffee....

The accuracy mods are not that huge a diffrence, in the end, where most combat takes place 30 meters or so, They are the *same* accuracy.

Also, the DX2 requires about 10 less action per shot...

I would say, higher DPS, less action, makes the DX2 the hands down winner ....

Dont get me wrong, the gun still sucks, but it is now the *best* pistol out there, save for the republic blaster...

With no mods

93.1 (DX2) (+5 damage on average, and 10 lower action cost)

88.2 (Scatter)

DX2 is a better gun now, IMO....Higher DPS with less action cost.....

For the bounty hunters, at speed cap....The DPS is

204 (+10 damage on average 10 lower action cost)

194

Sorry redone, using the correct terminology, thank you again Bewary ....

Ah ah, guess who's not complaining AT ALL after this patch ?

Yes, Riflemen...this was a "Rfileman Love Patch" if you ask me....their "ennemies" are nerfed a lot while they never miss anything in the same patch and still hit once per second for 10 times our dmg, great.

I feel balanced...

Pistoleers don't have the speed they need to compete in combat with the DX2.

Also, the DX2 misses A LOT.

God, those damages suck.... and thats supposed to be a higher schematic than a FWG5?

I guess I am spoiled by my 70-270 1.8(or is it 1.4) FWG5

I'm scared to use up its lifetime warrenty now. Going to much lower high end damage, and huge speed increase.... ugh

Should have stocked up, lol.
