What's funny and ironic was that the BHs were pushing hard that the FWG5 needed to be 'fixed', that they didn't know that this same 'fix' affected their own beloved scatter! lol.

Now they'recrying that they got 'stealth nerfed'. Believe that? Like this 'fix' should have been only one-sided, and that their scattersabove thenerfs because they were BHs. Funny stuff.

I have 4 crates of scatters, 12 krayt scatters, and 20 30%+ damage sliced scatters.....

I can go for *years* on prepatch scatters.

But thats a moot point now, with the new enhacments to elite profession, the BH profession on a whole is a.....joke....Any pair of Ranged/Meelee professions (done correctly) should now destroy a BH with little to no problem.....

Well, as BH's begin to wallow in the mess that is their profession...and begin to compare themselves to every other class out there...take the advice of the pistoleer community and don't also ask for Twirly Guns and Holsters.

On my server, the Scatters are still better than the DX2s ... that's what I'll still be using. When you factor in the DX2's horrible accuracy (ideal range = 0m!) and the fact that it takes FIVE Krayt tissues to upgrade, it's not so great.

I'll be using pre-nerf Scatters. When those run out, I'll use post-nerf Scatters and Republic Blasters.

If you can, Phil, switch to Republic Blasters now. It's simply a much better gun than both the old scatters and DX2.

I'll get some crafted when I log in today ... thanks for the tip. It's kind of silly that the best pistol in the game is available to non-Marksman, much less non-Pistoleers or BHs isn't it? Oh well, guess we should be happy to finally get a nice AR1 pistol to use.

One thing you got to remember though, it only takes 1 krayt tissue to upgrade a scatter but takes 5 i believe to upgrade the dx2. Also the dx2 loots gay and sounds stupid

You're probably talking about pistoleer / bh dabblers. Any investigator BH will choose the carbine over the pistol in almost all circumstances, and for me I'm glad that pistols are going from hand-cannons to the popguns they actually are, since my pistol is my sidearm and my carbine is my main weapon.

And if you can show me the threads where any BHs were complaining about FWG5s, do it. For me, FWG5 was great for everyone to have because I fear nothing from an AR0 FWG5 when I always wear comp armor with 55% heat resist. Even lucky last ditch assaults for 1300 was cut down to 350 points of actual damage. FWG5 has always been a feather and now people will get wise to the AP1 DX2.

i gaurantee you that this (fix) to the republic blaster is nothing more than a (bug) that accidentally fixed something.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's broken again by the next major patch.

I like my DX2 i think it does a ob and does it quite well then again I am a smuggler working on master as well as a pistoleer 0-0-0-1

using the same formula that gives the new scatter 87.954 dps. My numbers agree that it is now no better than the dx2, but at just over 4 dps it's hardly a hands down victory.

The real decider between these 2 guns is the range mods. I know very little about being on the grip side of a scatter, but the dx2 is by far the least accurite pistol I have access to.(you ever see a positive range modifier on a scatter? I rarely see 1 on the DX2)

I may be missing something here, in which case please educate me.

The new uber pistol is the power5 or the republic blater. I'll be holding on to my pre-nerf tangle, at this rate it will be very good soon.
