I currently have 200k pitol points to spend.

I am undecided on whether tho wait and use the pistol points in BH pistol tree or spend them on pistoleer now. Which class has the best / most useful pistol skills for use against MOBs. I rarely PvP but am tempted with the LLC weapon.

Any opinions on the above plz

bounty hunter - hands down - I have torso shot and that combined with bh pistol speed is super sweet - it sucks to tie up all the skill points tho - good luck in your decision

Maxing pistol skills, or just creating the most effective character with pistol skills?

Fan shot does about the same DPS as LLC cone 1. From what you describe you want to do I'd say get:

Pistoleer 0043: Fan shot and melee defense

BH 0040: Pistol speed/accuracy + Torso Shot

CH 3200: Graul Maulder tank

Medic 1000: StimBs with a little extra kick.

You will be able to use Fan Shot to clear multiple mobs quickly, and the BH speed mods should mean you shoot Stopping Shot close to once per second. Have fun!

for pve llc lc2 is insane. a guildmate was doing like 4-6k a shot with that thing on mobs.

Yeah, LLC2 *single* is insane. But, it hits 1 target, max fireingspeedat 2s (including the BH speed mods), sucks HAM like mad, and you stand 15m from the mob.

If you aren't grouped, you are better off using a ranged area attack (Fan Shot + Rebuplic Blaster == dead mobs at 60m) and a pet tank.

sorry about the typo on the skill =). yeah he's a master creature handler so he usually send pets in, then run in, then blast single away and kill mobs fast while i dot, run in, knock down, and heal his health and action while at it. he's a doggie race so his mind regens pretty fast. he just dropped BH and went armorsmith though =(. no it wasnt a holocron he just all of a sudden wanted to be crafting profession lol.

Side note on dabbling ch maulers. Remember not to waste to many points for it like it is set up currentlysince they are restructuring ch and those using maulers won't be able to use them after the patch without investing more points. Especially if they do raise the Mauler CL limit closer to 50 like the dev's suggested they would. would hate to see someone waste good money on one just to find out in a few weeks or so that they couldn't use it.

So far, Pistol Melee Defense 1 is enough to keep me loving pistols forever.

Maybe y'all are more into PvP than I am, but most BHs I know are fairly miserable with it...seems like all they ever do (when they're not owning other players :smileytongue is grumble about absurd travel/droid expenses for missions and how annoying it is to level in Investigation.

i gotta say pistoleer. stopping shot and fan shot owns in pve and pvp.
