For anyone who has seen the movie, "Equilibrium", you have an idea of what a gun kata is. I'm suggesting, that the animation, and perhaps the effects of our "Melee defense" moves be similiar to that of the gun kata moves in the movie. I think it would be great, of course all the current specials we have should be fixed... ect ect. Also, the Gun kata would tie in perfectly with dual wielding, since the gun kata's are most often done with two pistols. Just a suggestion, tell me what you think.

I absolutely LOVE that movie, though a lot of people have never heard of it. It would be nice to pull off some of the clerics' moves as a pistoleer. But they probably would have to do a lot of mo-cap for it, so I don't really expect any moves this cool to be added any time soon.

I always thoughtSOE should eventually get Jet-Li to do some mo-cap alla Replacement Killers for Pistoleers...

Cool man good idea that would be sweet if SOE incorporated that into SWG, oh and btw that movie rocked so anyone that hasnt seen it , see it!!!

This would be the worst thing you could do for this game. This is supposed to be star wars. Doing things like this makes the game feel even less like star wars. While gun kata would be cool for an equilibrium game, its not for star wars, IMO.

I agree that the gun kata is one of the coolest things ever (jumping into a pitch black room and killng 10 guys with auto rifles and not getting hit is something we'd all like to do) but it wouldn't fit with star wars, i always thought it could be a elite-elite class, like merge with tka or fencer but not for just gunfighter.
When i think of gunfighter the wild west style always come to mind, like the new kevin costner film "open range" has some very cool gunfights, and that is style i'd like to see.

I really don't know how gunkata would translate well into swg...but this is by far the coolest "we should put this in post" in, well, forever.

I'm not suggesting they put something identical to the movie, but maybe a move where you do something like unarmed hit 2 with pistols in your hands, something where you hit with 2 pistols, in some kind of artful way, just for the melee defense move. I don't think it would be hard to impliment it into the game. And it would add a little uniqueness to the pistoleers. They are pretty bland, and well there isn't much motivation to be a pistoleer.

how about a 2 fingered eyepoke a la the 3 stooges and then we bonk them on the head with the bottom end of the handle! maybe it can do some sort of dizzy knockdown or something cool like that. Call it stooge hit 1.

It's be awesome to be surrounded by mobs then pullof an uber elite move where, without moving, you shoot your guns in a bunch of different directions and all the enemies around you start falling down. Boy I love that movie. But it wouldn't really fit in Galaxies.
BTW, Nononsense, I five starred ya, feel better now?
