So how come the new RK that the TK are getting out of the Death Watch dungeon are very cool, does a different type of damage then what thye do now, and is AP wich they don't have. Great idea, very good for the TK.
But what about us. They give us a new pistol but the stats are total crap. Same damage as some of the weapons we have. The RB is already a great weapon with Energy and AP1. So how about a different type of damage THEN ANY WE HAVE NOW, or even a GOOD kenetic one. And at least AP1, but one pistol that does AP2 would be great. And that speed? That's insanely slow.
So can we get some feeback to the Devs on this via our Coorespondant?

Right now, that new blaster is just holding stats. They are going to change it and whatnot, like the new heavy axe.

Devs don't want ranged professions to have an effective Kinetic gun, thusly that's out of the question. And unless they change something about that pistol, I guarantee I'll never own one.

I think the reason why a lot of us pistoleers want the DE-10 to be AP 2 with cold damage is that it would then be an effective weapon vs. Krayts assuming they givethe gundecent damage, wouldn't it?

You can't give a freakin' pistol ap2!! It's not very practial nor realistic...even tho this is the future!!
Doing cold damage w/o ap is good enough. Look at peeps with stun batons! (Im not crying out nerf at all, just comparing) They have no ap but do stun damage, and can still do enough damage to ppl with composite, so don't complain : /

Hey, a nice desert eagle, with low fire rate, but high damage + ap2 for short-distance combat would be nice.
Can't imagine that something like that is impossible in the star wars universe.

high end min and max is what i want. cold damage would be cool. and by high end i mean 5-600. pistols shouldn't have AP2. they try to save that for carbs and rifles i think.

I agree with those that say it's much too early to judge the numbers because they will likely change... and I think the devs are getting on the right track; just look at the Genosian pistol.
I think it would be interesting if they made this new pistol the only AP2 pistol out there doing kinetic damage, but they should keep the damage low. It's a trade-off: pierce the armor for stated damage, or use an alternate pistol with less AP and potentially more damage. Forces people to run numbers in their head when examining opponents in combat.
It will have its use against select opponents. Damage should have a low minimum, too (not like DX2s that have high minimums). At least in this case it gives us something that'll have a specific role. Otherwise we'll just compare it to a Republic Blaster (energy damage) with accuracy differences that may not be totally meaningful in PvE.
I don't like the idea of cold damage for a pistol because it just doesn't make sense. Actually it doesn't make sense for most weapons, but this is sci-fi...

Agreed, why the heck not? I can think of a number of pistols that hit pretty dang hard, and seeing that we are in a fantastical Sci-Fi Universe, an AP2 pistol seems completely plausible to me.

wasn't I the first person to propose it becomecold damage type? 
ap1 or ap2 doesn't make a big difference to me either way, but it needs to be slow and hard hitting. the max range can be less than 64m if required.
i want a cold pistol because many damagetypes are the only thing pistoleers have for them, at the moment.

No matter what the stats are, why does it have to be a loot drop? As a master weaponsmith why do I have to go kill things in order to make new weapons? I have no combat skills and do not have millions of credits to go buy schematics and components. Assuming I could fight I also do not have the time to sit and camp a site in order to get the ability to make a new weapon. Looting stuff to enhance weapons is fine, like Krayt tissue etc. Looting stuff in order to make weapons degrades the whole original concept of SWG and the players need to rely on other players for their equipment.
