Do we as pistoleers get the certification for this pistol?
Another thing... why are the devs opposed to allowing some weapons to trandsend (sp?) professions, why are some weapons ONLY for certain professions, why can't some weapons be used (and certified) in other professions?

to answer your first question, yes the geo blaster is a pistoleer pistol. You get the cert in Pistol Techniques 2
As far as the second question goes, all I can say is that it's the way the game was setup, I don't have a good answer, sorry.

No I ment like why are some pistols for BH only? Ya know, you'd think a BH and pistoleer would both know how to work pretty much any side arm they come across

You know thats a good idea for some content. Be able to pick a weapon and specialize(sp?) in that one particular(sp?) weapon for instance you decide to specialize in using a DX2 and you may get a different move for that specifice pistol and do a little more damage, and if you wanted to use a FWG5 while specaized in DX2 you do less damage and fire slower but you can still use it.

If Weapon Certifications transcended professions, we'd be getting our asses kicked by Riflemen wielding our weapons with their AUTO +90 speed.

it would only make sense to have a pistoleer use pistols, not have certs for carbines

No no no...lol you are right, but misunderstanding what I ment. I mean the pistols in the BH pistol tree should also be in the pistoleer tree somewhere. And Carbineer's should have cers for BH carbines, etc...
Maybe not ALL of them but a couple would help out alot.
Like I said, a PISTOLEER is called that for a reason, he/she specilizes in PISTOLS, so he/she should be able to pick up a scatter pistol or launcher pistol for example, and use it effectivly.

The only special weapons BH get are the Scatter Pistol and the LLC, no special carbines for BH.

I smell Elite-Elite Profession system. Add it to the top of 1 or more lines of Pistoleer, Make one for each weapon worth specializing in, and figure out a way to only allow someone to specialize in ONE weapon. Have Master Pistoleer and BH Pistols 4? Specialization in the DeathHammer is available. Master Pistolsse and Dirty Fighting 4? Renegade Pistol specialization is available. Pistoleer 4004? DX2, FWG5, and DL-44 is available. Again, only ONE can ever be taken at a time. Make it 4 boxes long, 1 SP per box, or 1 SP for all 4, but its a special extra SP earned by getting to the top of the 2 prereqs.
But... I'd rather see them fix Smuggler and Pistoleer first.

Exactly but you are right about them needing to fix us first!

"why can't some weapons be used (and certified) in other professions?"
They can be. Pick up commando, you can use all your pistoleer specials with a launcher pistol.
