Thread: Did the way specials count against our Action pool change or something ?

As little as 3 days ago I was able for arguments sake to take down a sharnaff bull by hitting him 1st with bleed2 and then spamming stopping shot until he dropped and in the end I would have 90% of my Action pool left. My Action/Stamina/Quickness is set at 700/700/700. Well I went into combat last night against a sharnaff bull using the same tactics and now when all is said and done I only have around 60% of my action pool left.

What Gives...did i miss a patch note or something or did we get another under the covers nerf.

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks

Nope I am not wearing any armor so that would not be effecting my action pool.

Just trying to figure out why my action pool is draining much quicker than it did a number of days ago.

I am using the same gun as before, same set of specials and same type of target (sharnaff bulls).

By the way I use a 1.9 speed scout blaster with a 22 action cost. With my action/stamina/quickness pools set at 700/700/700 it usually cost me 27 action points for each 'stopping shot' that I use. I worked with my action/stamina and quickness pools for a long time getting them just right so my action pool did not drain quickly when I use specials and it was working great until I noticed a change yesterday where my action pool is draining much quicker than it did just a couple days ago under the same exact circumstances.

Thanks

did the bull get close enough to maybe smack your action pool and you just didn't realize it?

and what species are you? I want 700 stamina... I'm a dumb twi'lek and can't get more than a 400 stamina without buffs.

I am a human Master CH/Master Gunfighter and I send my level 52 BE Gurreck in to engage the bull 1st and then I close to about 10m and start spamming stopping shot until he is down.

Just trying to get a handle on what changed to make my action pool drain quicker that it used to and I have not changed anything about my character/equipment/pets or tactics.

Thanks

You havn't increased your pistol speed in any way have you? (Power up, skill tape, leveling up the stances tree etc). Faster guns means less time for your HAM to regenerate leaving you with less HAM at the end of combat.

also bleeds dont tick as high a dmg as they used to do so it takes more stopping shots to kill.

I think you're right about the action costs. Just tonight I was hunting (1st time in a week), using a FS macro, andless than7 secs. my action is totally drained. Last week it wasn't like this. Same pistol, using powerups from same crate. I was unbuffed both times.

wonder is a stealth nerf occured...either that or the speed cap was lowered

Unsubstantiated, but a popular theory for a day or two.

LOL by using vehicles and mounts, you do seem to run slower. Its all perception though.

Hmm...well, I guess I"m not crazy then because I just noticed the same thing.

When I'm fully buffed, I didn't notice it at all. Then after my Quickness buff worn off, my Action pool went down to 200 from 3000 in less than 2 minutes of spamming Last Ditch.

Something must have changed because I used to be able to spam Last Ditch all day as long as I had that 2000 stamina even with a 1 Quickness.

If you would all try to remember the first day that you noticed this, the galaxy you play on, and what specials you were usingit would help. Also look at the action costs floating over your head. If it's more than 60 or 70, we definitely have a problem.

Were you using buffs of any kind? Could the buffs have changed somehow? Examine them. Certain armor stats have been known to fluctuate, so it isn't that much of a stretch. Check to make sure your Quickness & Stamina match up with how you have them in the Stat Migration Window. There used to be an "invisible perma wound" bug, so it's worth checking for. Double check to see how much your action is regenerating per tick. Compare with somebody who is unaffected, and try to estimate an adjustment for their Stamina. If it's way off base, you should be able to tell.

To RandonB.......the scout blaster I am using action cost is 22 and the numebr that appears over my head is 27....I am pretty sure that everything was Ok on March 1st, 2004 with me being able to run a attack macro i have set up that 1st does a bleed2 and then stacked up behind that about 15 stopping shots. Before this change I noticed my action bar would drain only about 10% by the time this macro finished and the sharnaff bull was down. Now after this 'change' I noticed on March 2-3, 2004 I now drain my actoion pool down to about 60% with the same marco, gun, BE Pet, tactics as I was using before.

My Action/Stamina/Quickness is set at 700/700/700. I am planning to change my stamina now and bump it way up because of this change but I am hoping that you can find out if something did indeed get changed.

Thanks for you time.
