I haven't seen anybody post anything on this here, so I'm cutting and pasting from Seomon's thread on the Discussions Forum. He did the footwork, I'm just bringing the info somewhere it won't get buried under piles of other posts. Here goes:


Pistoleer



  • Pistol Accuracy +95 (Same as Live)
  • Pistol Speed +64 (Same as Live)
  • Ranged Defense +7 (Same as Live)
  • Dodge +105 (+75 better than Live)
  • Pistol Accuracy while Moving +30 (Same as Live)
  • Pistol Aiming +16 (Same as Live)
  • Defense vs Stun +40 (+20 better than Live)
  • Defense vs Blind +40 (+20 better than Live)
  • Defense vs Dizzy +40 (+20 better than Live)

*Note that with one branch of basic Marksman skills and onebranch oftheir skilltree, Bounty Hunters still have more Pistol Speed and Accuracy than the full Pistoleer tree.

note also that BH are REQUIRED to have ALL marksman skills, and not just 1 line. So that note of yours is irrelevant.

I'll amend that to say one line of Marksman skills plus a Master box, since I'm only focused on pistol skills, and those are the places in Marksmanwhere you find the mods. The Ranged Support, Rifle, and Carabineer lines don't have anything to do with the Pistol Accuracy and Speed mods that I mentioned.


Anyway, wishI had some of the melee professions to compare, too. If somebody finds them, please throw those in here, too.

BH's deserve those points though honestly. I'm a pistoleer to... though I am thinking of going for the BH tree as they are a combination of Commando/Cabineer/pistoleer... then put the rest of my points into medic.

Um, I thought Pistoleers got a total of +74 speed at Master?

Yes, pistoleer should be 74, not 64, and rifle is correct at +90, it's the same as live.

I like the Dodge and Melee defence increases. The other 2 sure did get a huge accuracy bonus, but I guess they are suppose to be more accurate than us anyways.

I still dont like our speed. I thought the combat dev said he was thinking of changing our speed after the "Big Post" we did on the general forum a while ago?

Ps- Why do Riflemen get such a big increase in Melee Defence? Ranged Defence I understand and accept, they're snipers. But aren't they suppose to be vulnerable to melees? Even if they still get hit for more melee damage, but if they're getting missed a lot more then it negates that.

Im not a Carbineer or Rifleman anymore but i sure hope that there improved accuracy goes live cause they sure need it. Rifles should be more accurate than pistols but given the mods on the weapons they are the least accurate class by FAR.I say that as a dedicated pistoleer atm.

Why aren't pistoleers getting ranged defense? We are supposed to be good at running and shooting no?

Wait a sec, I'm a little confused. Did they turn the defence mods on? Or will they when these changes go live? If not what the hell is the point in increasing our defence vs. stun if it doesn't even check for that in combat? If they are in fact fixing these then hurrah! Same goes for dodge. I was under the impression that dodge is essentially non-existant. Will adding a little bit more in the skill department help that? Or should they go take a look at why it isn't working?

And wait a sec... am I reading this right? Riflemen will have only 5 points less on melee defence than us but we will have still 50 points less on ranged defence? Does this make sense? Should I even be asking questions like that in this game?

Pistoleers don't get 2.5x melee damage multiplier. If we get hit, we can take it. If a rifleman takes a melee hit, it's pretty much over.


I ran up and hit a rifleman with unarmed mind hit earlier in the week. He said good bye to 468 mind standing. It was a 2 hit melee kill. Against a pistol user it would have been 3-4 hits if I'm lucky.
