Ummm...did you notice the +107 to dodge? I think that makes us the supremo defenso Pistoleero. We don't need crappy general melee and range bonuses. We just jump out of the way.

dodge works.

When you are running (pistoleers are dumb if they are standing still) and you juke to the side (slowing you down, annoyingly sometimes) the mob/player missies, this is dodge.

with 107 we should be phat for defensive. Looking forward to it.

This is truly fantastic, and gives us hope. I really really hate to whine about anything in light of this, but...


Was anyone else hoping for speed?

OMG YES I really want speed. Ive been master pistoleer forever, and the speed is annoying.

WOOHOOO finally some changes.... at least they did them all across the board instead of only here and there. this might actually help us out a bit, i need to look over those changes a little more though, seems like rifleman got a big power boast over us...

Yes, without more speed I am pretty worthless right now. (1,2,4,2). I can't solo at all without a faction pet. I don't think that carbiniers or riflemen are going to be any better off, either. These changes seem to focus on PvP. We get:


+20 Defense to Stun/Blind/Dizzy/Knockdown/Posture Change


+32 Melee Defense


+75 Dodge


The dodge might come in handy in PvE, but I'm not convinced. Things hit sooo hard anyway, even with armor, that it only takes a few solid hits and you are down. We need DPS. It's not that I'll never be happy, it's just that this isn't something that I see helping much.


We have weak weapons with weak specials and defenses that don't work,but they only fixed the least importantpart of the problem.

Its not like you couldnt kick anyones ass in the first place when you stole are Pistol tree.

It still seems odd to me that a Master Bounty Hunter is faster and more accurate with a pistol than a Master Pistoleer. Our entire profession revolves around the pistol. The bounty hunter is focused on tracking down marks and killing them, possibly using a pistol in the process.

Numbers:

Master BH- 1,291,000 Pistol XP needed
Master BH- 70,550 Combat XP

Master Pistoleer- 3,891,000 Pistol XP needed
Master Pistoleer- 415,000 Combat XP needed


It is very possible that I am missing something here, but a master pistoleer, who has more general combat as well as pistol expierience is still worse at handling a pistol that someone who has less than a third the pistol XP and less than a fifth the combat xp.

I dunno, I'm not an expert or anything, but it seems a bit unbalanced to me.
