I was wondering what the best weapon available to a pistoleer/smuggler is now, post cu.
I have my trusty Krayt DL44XT
Speed: 1.94
Damage: 365-871
Wound: 6.26%
Accuracy Bonus: ?? (will update when i next log in)
Action Cost: 104
DPS: 318.6
or DE-10 (hit hard by the cu - was a much better pistol 
)

My Featherweight converted over to 883 max but my DL44 had the best DPS conversion.

i have a dmg capped Dl 44xt. sliced for speed and with a powerup for speed it hits with my mods (125 spd) 810dps.

That DL44's action costs are VERY high. I would recommend seeing if you can purchase an FWG the converted good off your trade forums.
And if ya look around various boards...you'll see a few posts that points out that dps is not the answer. It has, and always will be max damage. It shocks me that people are happy with their pistols with sup-par damage, and rant and rave that their base dps is 300-400+...lol.
Keep in mind...speed pups make your dps look great, but they also make your accuracy take a dive.

Yeah I've been sticking to the new DL-44s since the CU launched. I have a really good FWG5 with like 804 max, with action cost a lot better than the DL, but it only has like 200 condition left, so I'm afraid to use it

For comparision, my Featherweight came out at:

my fwg5 converted to like 380-850 dmg, with only a 85 SAC
with a reinforced stock the SAC goes down to 65. I cam spam specials for quite a while.
high damage gun with ranged shot will never match lower dmg with specials.

With action regen doc, chef and spice buffs and Reinforced Stocks bringing SAC on crafted guns with +900 max damage down to mid 70's you can still spam master level specials for a long time.
But I'd still rather use my convertedguns that have high damage and low SAC.

the kyd is fun to use 'cause it shoots so fast and has a cool sound though
