that second scatter is really nice. If that speed is the base speed and not modified, it won't make much of a difference, and that SAC definitely will be more important in any event.
I need to go tissue and shard hunting here soon and get some new weapons made. My converts aren't bad with max damages in the 860's, but I'd like a 900+ damage weapon. As long as the SAC is under 100, I'll be happy with it (as I can slap a stock on it.)

I hate to resurrect a 2 week old thread, but I am of the opinion that dps means SQUAT!
All those fancy speed mods dont really make a big noticable difference with raw dmg output. Its only as fast as you hit the keys yet lets say I just go with a rifleman/ACCURACY stacker template; 3 shots dead... and I fired my shots damn near the same amount of time, except while as a pistoleer i am stuck with a minute long fight and running out of action pool... with rifle, i have killed 5 others before needing to rest.
Andto say that "states" are the benefit pistol/smugg get, thats a joke; the same acc stacker template has a knockdown, startle shot... all of these styles actually WORK, whereas panic shot, low blow, etc... do not.
To make a long story short; pistol smuggler is more gimped than ever, and the only real upgrade i see are that people cant armor smash you, and that they get a decent root.

I'm beginning to think that the cap on the guns max damage depends on the tissues and shards you use, there doesn't seem to be a hard cap on any gun.
Damage will cap when crafting and allow no further increase with experimentation, but different max damage tissues/shards give different caps.
i have a nice scatter, but with the 105 SAC (80 pupped) it still runs my action down when using brandy and pixie.

did they experiment in speed instead of efficiency?? I tried making one yesterday... put 9-10 pts into efficiency on the sub-components, rest into damage.. and on the gun 10 into damage, 2 into effiency and got 928 max, 83 SAC.. but a speed above 2
