I mastered pistoleer about 1 month ago but I have been slowly going up the skills since the release of the game.

I can kill just about any professions in duel.

All you need is a great variety of guns, never use a republic blaster in pvp, knock them down, then stopping shot, and their dead.

I can do 1000+ dmg is pvp with stopping shot using my good old 339dmg fwg5(no powerup )

We have the best defence of all the ranged shooters, dodge is AWESOME, we are fast as hell.

And what can I say about fan shot?

lightning fast high damage aoe shot lol

Much to learn you do.....

But I will agree the defenses absolutely rock.

Sorry but even if I havent been master for so long, I have been a pistoleer for longer than most people.

Learning I already did.

Died some time I did, but killed my opponent much more often.

Wellwhat I mean have you learned why pistoleer might suck yet? hehe

Learning is not winning fights.

That's what losing is for.

Buffed and with PvP armor, Pistoleer has no chance. Last Ditch is a MUCH better shot than stopping shot and it does little versus a good Combat template (assuming yu can even hit the target). I have been a MAster Pistoleer/Smuggler for months and with Mitigation and 90% composite, pistols hit net for about 50 points if yer lucky. There is no way you can defeat a good Combat Template period. If by some wild chance you did, the other player was either a) very bad or b) very bad and not finished the template. If you are on Bloodfin, attack memebers of Fight, MASC or many of the other guilds with great players, you will die.

Do you know why most people who revolve around PvP aren't Pistoleers? Because they suck lol. I'm glad you beat up a noob rifleman and some other noobs to PvP. But I can guarantee you won't win against me.

Buffed unbuffed it doesn't matter. Your stopping shot won't even hurt if I was buffed it targets a random HAM too. You do have much to learn.

Start to live, breathe, and eat PvP and you will learn.

Been there, did that first over three years ago.....so save the oooh ooh pwnt posts and impress me ingame.

What ever happened to having fun? Personally, I think gunfighter is a cool profession and fits in well with my character. So, who cares if it is or isn't good in PvP?

DPS is low in its stock form, but comes in line if the target is knocked down (which, last I checked is a pistoleer special)

Sure, things need fixing. Rifles shouldn't be able to kite and still be insanelyaccurate. Pistol status defenses need to mean more. I also think that a master marksman/master gunfighter should fire specials at the capped speed, as should every master elite (and be able to hit in PvE at any range. Pistols also need more diverse specials, but thats all been addressed already. So why not either drop the class or have fun with it? Its not going to be the next flavor of the month, so if you're looking for it to be, sorry, but you're fighting a losing battle.

Uh... where do you get off being all holier than thou? If you paid attention, more than a few top end combat templates revolve around pistoleer, so why don't you just be quiet and think before you speak. Tempest's top PvPer uses a pistol nearly exclusively.

I shouldn't of edited my post. I orginally said "lose the ego first then you'll learn".

But I won't bother you WILL learn or your ego will be crushed whichever comes first.....If you continue to pvp anyway.

Damn shame this isn't the smuggler forum. I know this much about your top pvp'er already. Hes not ONLY a pistoleer.
